I don't believe in Jesus or Hell. Will I burn for it? I don't want to deal with a god that would want me to burn for so petty a reason.

Absolutely - according to many on this forum. You could've saved millions from suffering and need, always conducted yourself morally in all your undertakings, defended justice all your life, given all your wealth to help the needy, an never committed an offense against others or the law. And, according to them, if you didn't "accept Jesus" you will burn in hell for all eternity.

Ont he other hand, if you were a murderous pedophile for all your adult life who never helped a soul, but "truly found Jesus" a week before you kicked the bucket, then you will be enjoying eternal bliss.

Cool, huh?

No, I don't believe this. While not a Christian, my understand of Jesus' teaching is that they were a whole lot about love, tolerance, helping the poor, etc. I suspect they have been distorted by his so-called followers - but I know you will get a lot of them saying we're all going to burn - I guess they're saying it with love - but I think it would make Jesus sad.

I personally don't think you will go to hell but then I really don't think you will go to heaven. If that is the case wont all Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist and so on go to hell they don't think Jesus was the son of god. Come on now do you think just chirsitanity is the only right religion out there every religion thinks they are the right one....so I say just be a good person.

A person living according to spiritual principles not only believes in Jesus, but they carry him in their hearts.

Burn? You mean ignite? Depends on the accelerant! But honestly, I sure pity all the folks who've responded to your question with biblical quotes. How sad to live in such a narrowly defined universe as they do!
I don't think anyone burns. Neither do I think anyone "goes up." Sheesh! Such baloney!

Jesus said if you try to get in any way but buy Him, you were a thief and a robber.

Joh 10:1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
Joh 10:7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

There is suppose to be some sort of tribulation period where non-believers who are living in those times will have the opportunity to change their minds and get saved. It is spoken about in Revelations.
