I am a Southerner, I am not Christian. No I don't think Southerners or Christians are dumb. I do find idiotic questions a bit dumb.

There is no reason to be insulting, and yes their IQ's are 5 or 10 points lower than in blue states. The two are not however related, one does not have to be less inteligent to be a Christian. I have 2 phd's and have been a successful contributer to peoples mental health for years and I believe the Bible is both literally true and meta-phycically valuable. Pay no mind to my spelling and grammer always hated that stuff. Here is the thing God loves dumb people too. These then get lead by wolves in disiples clothing and do really bad stuff. Being openly condemning of them will just make them go further underground and go to their already con artist leaders and get comfort. If you want to get through to someone they are in error better to point out that their leaders are fooling them and be nice about it or they will continue to elect crooks who will bleed you dry and charge you for clean air to breath.

Every one in the South is a Christian? Man I wish that were true. One day if I study long enough and eat enough brain food, perhaps I will be able to lower my I.Q. to the level of yours and then I can question things like, "If a tree falls in the woods and there is no one there to hear it, did it make a noise?" How arrogant to think that your existence has any bearing on the laws of nature. So here is a question i would like to have you answer. If I stood beside you on a windy day could I hear the ocean?

No, not all of us are. However, they don't call it the Bible Belt for nothing :/

And most "Christians" and I use that term loosely since they are the worst offenders when it comes to morals and justice around here are the ones who vote. The other Dems, Liberals, Libertarians, etc., aren't as "driven by hate of "others"" to vote on hate stuff. They'll vote out alcohol, then they drive 60 miles to get a 12 pack, no joke. They just don't "want it around the kids." Here, you can have 3 cities in one county and 1 city be dry and the other 2 be "wet" so its quite weird. But, in my city of 3,000 there are 27 churches at last count. Of course, this is not counting the new ones that don't advertise.

1. Not all Christians are dumb.
2. The old culture of the south was very intolerant, so not many different people want to move there.

I live in the south, and trust me, they are not all Christians. A lot of them just think they are because they were told to believe, and repeat this prayer, and you are saved, You never have to do another thing again. Don't go to church. Don't pray. You said the prayer in a supermarket line, so you are covered for eternity.

For the same reason they talk so slow. The closer you get to the Equator the less intelligent you become. Personally, I love Southern women. They talk so slow that by the time they say no, I'm already done.
