A public school in Annapolis, MO has been ordered by a federal Judge to end a bible give-away program for fifth graders. Judge Catherine Perry said that the Elementary School wrongly allowed the bible handouts because the sole purpose was to promote Christianity.

Why do Christians argue that evolution does not occur....isn't it proven. I am a 15 year old kid but without reading any books on it or anything I can see that Evolution must occur....It's simple:

If you take a herd of buffalo and put em up to a northern area the ones with the thicker hair will be more likely to survive. They will then pass on their DNA to the next generation and that generation will repeat the process again and again until almost that whole herd has very thick fur. Eventually the species up north over a looooooong time will look nothing like the ones down south, ... It may even have required superior intelligence to be able to survive along with the thick fur so the ones up north may also have differently designed brains head shape, fur thickness, body build....and a lot of stuff. How can christians say this doesn't happen? I am not a teacher or anything so maybe that's a bad explanation but... that's obvious that would occur right??

Its an interesting thing to think about. But I don't think the answer is knowable or important. Way I see it, how humans live now and how we will live in the future are much more important questions that deserve the attention that people give to questions of origin. No matter how we came to be, we are. Why stress about it or try to assume we know why?

Go to www.nobojo.com and tell me if this is true? Very sickening and sad if it is. What a twisted hateful version of christianity.
I like the quote "A man who believes in a cruel God, becomes a cruel man" Not judging..just want answers.

For those who will ask, my observations are not scientific. My assumptions are from reading archives of YA and following several related questions. On the average, 1 out of 20-25 answers come from atheist mothers, and the majority here are men and/or teens (ACCORDING TO THEIR PROFILES) Why is that? If I am wrong, please feel free to enlighten me.

My Mom had a dream that she was laying in bed and she couldn't control her body. It was like she was being controlled by someone else. Then she yelled out "help me God" and all the sudden she heard God's voice say "you must pray 3 times a day and only pray for yourself. If you do not do this the devil will come and he will bring company with him." Now she's freaking. A friend said there was a part in the Bible that said something about praying 3 times but she can't find it. Any comments about this?

I try to answer questions I feel are sincere. Most of the answers can be found in the Bible. If I can help one person become a believer, I have done something for The Lord. Go to your minister and ask him or her your questions if you are in doubt. Otherwise, stop asking if you are just trying to put hate mail on here.

John 1
The Word of Life
1In the beginning was the one
who is called the Word.

The Word was with God

and was truly God.

2From the very beginning

the Word was with God.

3And with this Word,

God created all things.

Nothing was made

without the Word.

Everything that was created

4received its life from him,

and his life gave light

to everyone.

5The light keeps shining

in the dark,

and darkness has never

put it out. [a] 6God sent a man named John,

7who came to tell

about the light

and to lead all people

to have faith.

8John wasn't that light.

He came only to tell

about the light.

9The true light that shines

on everyone

was coming into the world.

10The Word was in the world,

but no one knew him,

though God had made the world

with his Word.

11He came into his own world,

but his own nation

did not welcome him.

12Yet some people accepted him

and put their faith in him.

So he gave them the right

to be the children of God.

13They were not God's children

by nature

or because

of any human desires.

God himself was the one

who made them his children.

14The Word became

a human being

and lived here with us.

We saw his true glory,

the glory of the only Son

of the Father.

From him all the kindness

and all the truth of God

have come down to us.

Everyone calls God something different, but most religions claim that they exclusively worship God in the right way...Why? We all worship a " God ", So, Why cant people just be content to worship what they feel is right for them, and not get into a War or fight about it???
