God talking in a dream.?

Question

My Mom had a dream that she was laying in bed and she couldn't control her body. It was like she was being controlled by someone else. Then she yelled out "help me God" and all the sudden she heard God's voice say "you must pray 3 times a day and only pray for yourself. If you do not do this the devil will come and he will bring company with him." Now she's freaking. A friend said there was a part in the Bible that said something about praying 3 times but she can't find it. Any comments about this?

David prayed three times a day - morning - noon and evening. Also in the prayer of Jabez in II Chronicle - Jabez asked for blessings for himself and God granted.

If I were to interpret the dream I would state that God would like her to spend more time with him, and herself. Perhaps she is doing too much for other people and forgetting about herself. The if you do not do this the devil will come and bring company, would be interpreted to me that if she does not spend time with God and herself that she opens herself up to an abundance of problems.

Doesn't sound like it was God talking. There's not anything in the Bible about praying three times a day, unless it is in the old Hebrew rituals set up by Moses.

And you shouldn't just pray for yourself, but for others.

Finally, saying just "help me God" was a mistake. She should have said "Jesus".

If this continues, you might want to find her a good deliverance ministry to help her. Any private revelation that doesn't stack up with the Bible comes from the other direction.

Three times would signify complete or judgement.

It is so that she can come into a "correspondence" or "form" of a church in a hurry and be safe from the devil.

It can't hurt to pray three times a day and read the Bible at any rate.

I wish I could say this was the most ridiculous crap I've ever heard. There are many instances where people can wake from sleep yet not be able to move their body. It is called "sleep paralysis":

About the other nonsense. This can be attributed to schizophrenia or superstitious delusions. I'm not sure which, maybe if you pray three times god will give you the answer.

Your mother has obviosly killed someone and she is feeling extreme guilt. Since she probably isnt actually seeing god (mainly because he's fake) she is making a figure in her mind to ask help for. I think it's time to take her to "a home" if you know what i mean. Good luck with your nut job mom and i would recommend walking around with holy wather and a gun.

I've had horrible dreams about Satan--but the Spirit of God in me helped me to say the name of Jesus, and that bad spirit left.

I think that friend doesn't know exactly what they are talking about.

something in her own subconcios mind....mabey guilt about something who knows might have provoked her dream. still it wouldnt hurt to pray if thats how she feels. now if her dream told her to go kill someons...then ild worry.

your mom must be paranoid. dreams are your subconcious talking to you. are symbols of what you feel deep inside. it would seem to me that your mom is afraid of disobeying gods word. you can see a psychiatrist for a better evaluation though.
