Why is it that, of the admittedly little I've read, I find the old English style of the King James Version of the Bible easier to comprehend and grasp, and more naturally flowing than modern translations.

Some people attribute so many things to Satan from hurricanes to alcoholism to cancer to liberalism to other faiths. Why not just admit that Satan is the Christian god of Evil? It is a dualistic system after all, right? Good vs. Evil. The only other people who give Satan any credit, or even acknoledges he exists, are Satanist who are just Rebel Christians anyways. While Satanists are the only ones who actually worship Satan (and most say they don't), Christians do credit Satan with many acts and events. Isn't this a form of recognition and means they think Satan has power, or some influence, over them and their lives? This makes Satan more than just a Fallen Angel, doesn't it?

Sins like murder, rape, theft, lying, etc. make a lot of sense. You are damaging other human beings and making life harder to live, but "sins" like premarital sex and homosexuality do not make any sense. Who are you hurting? You have 2 people who, for the most part, are consensual adults engaging in behavior that makes no difference to the lives of others. So why are these a sin? And I mean a logical reason why these are a sin, not your typical "because the bible said it." It is just as ridiculous as thinking that eating pork is a sin.

what humanity needs now is not god, most of the problems with hyman society is caused by mans varying beliefs in an archaic deity. what we need now is to find solutions together through human cooperation and putting the god issue up for debate between all peoples when we can at least first exist peacefully with one and other ????

There are even animals in the wild who exhibit same-sex orientation. If gays are acting according to what nature (God) made them, how can being gay and engaging in gay sex be a sin for them? Maybe it's only a sin for bi-sexuals? Maybe a gay man lying with a woman would be a sin for him?

Does it not make sense that it should be ok to smoke, drink, have illicit sexual encounters, kill the idiots of the world. I mean if we don't sin does that not make his life and death all in vain? Just a thought.

I am not religious but for some reason this question has been coming back to me over and over. If it really means what it sounds like it means, a pastor or priest or church leader preforming a blessing on children's backpacks...do those backpacks really have anything different about them from any other backpack? If it really is different because it's been blessed if the child loses it and someone else picks it up does the blessing continue. Is this just an action to help parents deal with the separation and anxiety of their children going back to school? Why would childrens backpacks be blessed?

the idea of a supreme god ruling and having control over human life sounds a fairy tale to me

god giving men messages (no messages to women) sounds absurd to me

angels who fly carrying these heavenly messages from heaven to earth and back to heaven can be read only in fairy tales

supernatural events and life forms to me sounds absurd

to believe that korans , bibles and toras and gitas were written by gods and their prophets make me laugh

what else do you want me to prove about religions been a load of nonsanse?
