Some people attribute so many things to Satan from hurricanes to alcoholism to cancer to liberalism to other faiths. Why not just admit that Satan is the Christian god of Evil? It is a dualistic system after all, right? Good vs. Evil. The only other people who give Satan any credit, or even acknoledges he exists, are Satanist who are just Rebel Christians anyways. While Satanists are the only ones who actually worship Satan (and most say they don't), Christians do credit Satan with many acts and events. Isn't this a form of recognition and means they think Satan has power, or some influence, over them and their lives? This makes Satan more than just a Fallen Angel, doesn't it?

Saying that 'some pagan gods may have been fallen angels' is just insulting. Don't confuse your faith with reality. My gods exist seperate from your beliefs.

Satan is the bogeyman Christians blame for their own bad behavior, instead of taking responsibility for said bad behavior, and admitting that humans in general don't need help from Satan to be bad because humans have the patent on bad behavior.

Satan is part of the Christian deity pantheon, which would make him a god, technically. If we were studying this religion as we study the Greek or the Roman pantheon, he would most definitely be considered the god of Evil. However, since the belief system is still in use, it's hard to get people to see it from an anthropological perspective.

Angels do have influence over our lives to a certain point even fallen ones , not absolute power as God has.
Some of the pagan gods may have been angels, good or fallen.

While Christians don't view Satan as a diety, I think your arguement appointing him the god of Evil is a legitimate one. Satan is very real, and he definietly has power. He cannot create, but he twists what God has created. He is the father of lies. I appreciate your perspective. Well thought out, and good point.

It is believed that Satan was the archangel Lucifer. He was the most powerful angel. He is the god of this world, but isn't anywhere as powerful as Jesus. God created all, including Lucifer, so He is greater.

Judging from the narrow-minded, mean, nasty, spiteful behavior of the majority of Christians, it is reasonable to assume that Satan is their God.
