He says he's been baptized as a kid and he believes in God, but when I as him if he believes in heaven he say he doesn't know. That it is all to complex and he doesn't think he's supposed to know. For me as a christian I find great peace in knowing that one day I will be in heaven, meet my father and never feel pain again. It saddens me that he doesn't have that same hope. I don't want to force God on him but I feel that I am supposed to do something. I go to church on Sundays, he's went me maybe 3 times in 2 years! I wish he would go with me! How can I share God with him without forcing it on him!? What can I do! i know God has got to come first if this marriage is going to work!

Or the same?
Do Theists believe in human fetal rights more than atheists or the same?

What is your reasoning for either of these?

Think of the advantages. I can have sex with whomever I want. I can take your money, your time, I can brainwash you. If I'm lucky I can live outside the law, not paying taxes, and not working. All I have to do is be and enjoy. If you leave me, or there's trouble I'll just promise that there's a heaven up there. And you will buy it!

When I see something on the news that I care to take note of, I investigate it and see if other sources can confirm that news.

Quote from Gregg Hodgson, NWTimes, USA:

"A theocracy is only safe for the winner's religion. A democracy should be safe for everyone's. That's why nobody's faith -- not mine, not yours -- can be allowed to gain official standing in any democracy."

Agreed?

I am often asked this by Christians. So my question is, is it possible that some things in are not in the Bible? Like traditions?

A dear friend of mine is a strong christian woman & is truely selfless with everything she does, as most of what she does is of benefit for someone else. She has a strong faith in God & is always doing her best to learn more about the bible & her christianity.
She has a rare type of cancer, & it has nearly killed her. She tells me that she believes God will heal her, so I have been believing this, as I have seen people that have been healed from illnesses. But as time has gone on, she has been getting so ill, that now she is at deaths door, & yet God still wont heal her, even when so many people are praying for her.

I don't go to church, but I have kept a belief that God exists, but I struggle with alot of things. What I do know to be true, & what I'm finding not to be true, is more of a struggle, & I can't understand why God tells us in the bible that prayer is important (you know that bit in the bible that says if two people get together to pray...) I'm angry with God for this.

what inspires you muslims about mohomed, when he did these things during his life,
married a 9 year old girl
killed lots of people, including jews and anyone who disagreed wih him
had up to 15, to 23 wives and concubines
used allah's name for his evil needs
lied many times
listened to satan and was inspired by the satanic verses
believed in superstition
and the list goes on and on and muslims cant deny that i am lying because its all in the koran

while i have nothing against decent muslims , how can you be inspired by such a prophet?

Christian answers to my last question seem to want things both ways.
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/?qid=20060907221909AAjMNXy

Either Jesus is a sinless incarnation of God or he is man. The idea of original sin makes any man (even if hypostatic God/man) have at least one sin. You can't have it both ways. If he is a man, he is to be admired but not worshipped. If he is God, he is to be worshipped but not considered a relevant example for our lives, having knowledge and abilities we don't to base action on. Can any theologically consistent position be produced to deny my claim (unlike in the first answers)?

Some one made an excellent point in my last question. She compared the Atheist on this board to an alcoholic without a drink. Do you think the Atheist who spend HOURS and HOURS a day on the religion and spiritually section are addicted to God?

Having read Denis Wheatley and King novels, the subject interests me greatly and as yet I have not found a conventional religion which is convincing enough, thus I would very much like to embrace this belief.
