yes i have had a scary that lasted for a week. only it was an animal that i loved very much, who had died from a tumor in her head, two weeks before. her name was gidget, i went to bed and was lying there, i heard gidget coming a cross the carpet toward my bed. she jumped on my bed went right where she always slept, turned a few times and layed down. that's when it hit me, she was dead, i sit up and reached down to end of my bed, and it was warm, like she was there. my husband had the same experience. a week later, we got a call from the who we got her,she had one of gidgets puppies and wanted to know if we wanted her, she didn't know gidget was dead. we went and got the dog, and i never experience gidget again. she looked just like her mother, i named her baby.

This is so pathetic when written down.. however I have waking dreams where I see stuff when woken suddenly at night. It's almost always spiders. I saw one last night on my pillow and a couple of months ago it was like hundreds were coming down the walls. Once I'm awake enough I obviously see nothing lol

Very creepy when it's happening though and my hubby wonders why the heck I'm asking him to catch them and chuck them outside!

My mum has it too but "sees" people which would be far freakier.

When I was a kid and even a teenager, sometimes when trying to fall asleep, I would get an odd feeling and then become paralysed for a few minutes where I couldn't move or even yell for my mom, but I would be awake and in total complete fear, sometimes my surroundings would even alter and appear different, by the time
I was able to get a sound out I'd be OK, the strange feeling would wear off, but I remember wanting so bad to yell for my mom and nothing would come out and I couldn't move.

As for ghosts sitting on chests yes my mom had the same experience - right after she went to a dodgy church meeting...and at about 1am she heard voices next to her bed whispering and suddenly had something press her down into the bed and continued dong this 3 times untill she cried out to Jesus. And it stayed away...most of these encouters produce fear. Fear is not a good thing and if you ever feel that kind of fear you should cry out to God with all your heart and I do not wish that for anyone.

Thats cute. I was young laying in bed, with the windows open one night. We lived on a highway in the country. I did not sleep well as I was terrified of the dark. I had just fallen to sleep, when I heard a car door slam shut. I woke up and looked out the window, not getting out of bed, just looking across the room. I saw a man coming towards the house and through the yard to the carport. He looked over, saw the window open and came to the window. He looked in saw me, I was so damn scared I started to scream, but nothing came out. The man then pulled the screen open and crawled into it.

My heart pounding and my mind going crazy, my worst nightmare was now upon me. I began pulling at my covers trying to hid but to no avail. The man came right to my bed and picked me up. I began screaming, NO sound, I began kicking and bitting and the man continue to carry me to the window. But I grabbed the side of the window (I was 7) and fought with him, finally my screaming came out.....loud and clear.

My father came running into the room, I was on the floor, he picked me up and put me back into bed. I was so terrified, I tried telling him what happened, he just looked at me and told me nothing was at the window, to go back to sleep, I would wake my brother and sisters. So I lay there for a very long time it seemed, and finally I heard the car door open and close again, and the car start and it drove off.

To this day, it was horrifing, and my dad and mom never believed me. I never told them again, when I was scared to death of the dark....I would lay there and cry all night out of fear and pray that I would be protected.

Then there is the time the man followed me home from work at mid night when I was 20. Thats another real life horror story.
Cya,.

I saw an old womans ghost head over my fiance when he was asleep. I woke up like a shot and looked over and there she was. I know it wasn't a dream because he woke up and was speaking to me and she was still there. Also I've had things messing with my feet when I'm trying to get to sleep, sometimes it's like a pressure but a gentle one. Another time I felt someone get in bed with me (when I was on my own) but it was a comfort, nothing sexual.

My scariest encounter was this morning when I received the TV licence reminder, having just read that the BBC spent 1/2 million on taxi fares, and have just awarded a bonus of thousands to most of their workers.

I didn't tell her it just scared me half to death,I just said yes it is.

Awaking to a cold, yet warm and swirling mist over you, so thick and heavy, not being able to breathe, a warped and dripping face leaning over me, then, BAM! Realizing I had passed out in the bathroom and my roommate is trying to get a shower in before he has to leave for work!!
Teach me to drink to much, haven't overdone it for at least a year now. Of course I still drink, but man I was freaked out!!
