Hmmm, you could say that if God was a woman, she wouldn't have given them so much s**t to deal with - periods, pregnancy, men....but then if God really is a woman maybe she weighed up the odds and realised that if it was down to men to be responsible for carrying on the human race it would all go t**s up and that as women are stronger they'd cope with the disadvantages that had to be passed down to them from her. But then, if God was a woman I do think there'd be a bit more order to the world - wars would be swiftly cleaned up and filed away only to be harked back to during moments of PMT, instead of pollution we'd have fragranced air, and instead of the invention of 'the rabbit' men's bits would have resembled them better in the first place!

Actually, this is kind of an interesting. There are some people who speculate that the Hebrew word for God, Elohim, actually incorporates parts of both feminine and masculine. Its base is El, which means "strong." To make that feminine, you add an "ah," giving "Elah." To make a masculine word plural, you add "im," so the plural of "El" should be "Elim," but we end up with "Elohim," and vowels are not always clearly defined in Hebrew, so to go from "Elahim" to "Elohim" is not that great a leap gramatically. Especially when you have a word that already breaks the grammer rules by being plural but used with singular verbs.

We are talking about the all powerful creator of the cosmos. God is what ever God wants to be.

If God wants to be a man, Gods a man. If God wants to be a Woman, Gods a woman. If God wants to be a 1966 mustang convertible... well, you get the Idea.

God, the Eternal Father, is definitely male. Of course, in order to be our Father, and we be His children, there must of necessity be a Mother up there as well. In fact there is and Eternal Mother. God has an Eternal Mate. That is why He left us with instructions for our lives, so that we could progress and become like Him or Her as our gender dictates.
Think about it.

You'll have to ask Him. Most religions traditionally have a male God - but then it is only in recent history that woman have not been subjugated to men, so that's hardly surprising. God is how God is perceived by us - until we know for sure (in death?)

Our Creator is complete. It isn't until the Lifeforce leaves God, that it turns into what we understand as the masculine and feminine.

God has no gender--Gender is only necessary for procreation in humans. We were made male and female to create our own families on Earth.

God uses the title "Father" to help us understand the Church as a family and as a guide for our human family. It is also a way for us to understand our relationship with Him as His children.
