Does it not make sense that it should be ok to smoke, drink, have illicit sexual encounters, kill the idiots of the world. I mean if we don't sin does that not make his life and death all in vain? Just a thought.

Wow you guys really take this way too seriously. Anybody out there see the humour in this as I do? Or are you all crazy religious types who can quote the bible for me?

Man this is a HOT question!look at all these answers.
Well your statements' truely make sense ,he died for our sins
and all the sins we will ever do has already been paid for.
BUT! Being a christian and believing that Jesus died for you and me ,you also have to have respect for the one and only God.
Doing sins is a ongoing part of a humans' life but just to ask for forgiveness and do you sins again knowing that it is wrong ,well where is the respect there?
I say that do not drain your brain thinking about dodging the religion but embrase it and life the live of being fatefull to your religion.
And again a great question to atract some serios comments.

WHERE A TESTAMENT IS THERE MUST BE THE DEATH OF THE TESTATOR
IT WAS JESUS
Heb.9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Heb.9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.9:16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.

Ohhhh nice thought.
That's where repentance and absolution come into play. If you sin you have to confess them in order for them to be forgiven, so the Jesus wild card is more of a token than anything else. This goes hand in hand with confession at church. If you were the most evil, vile and lecherous person on the planet but confessed, on your deathbed, all your misgivings and were truly sorry for them … according to what the church teaches .. God would forgive you and you would be allowed into heaven.
Pretty screwed up for those that choose to live a good life eh?

No, we were born sinning. We may go out sinning. In the old testimant Jehova said no man is worthy to go to heaven. There were no rightious men in his eye. That was the consequence of allowing us freedom of choice and foun it to be so that man indeed is not perfect . In the new testiman Jesus pleaded with God to forgive us because we know not what we do because we live in the a world where Satan has free rain also. Because God loves his son and his son loves us he gave in . I'ts very confusing but, when you except Jesus into your heart and truly do this amazing will to do good takes over and a little voice reminds you to always do good. Kind of weird but it works for me. I have lots of freat stories of salvation.

I am not aware of anything in the Bible that says Jesus' sacrifice is void if you do X number of sins...Except blasphemy the Holy Ghost, which is the unpardonable sin.
Fuc* the Holy Ghost.
*** Edit
Hebrews 10:26 - For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
Oh my...this means everyone is going to Hell.

...In the book of 2 Corinthians, chapter 5, verses 14 - 15, we read:
...For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf.
...He does not save someone so they can lead a life of self-indulgence, but rather a life of service to Him.
...We do sin - in James 2:10 we read,
"For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all." One sin is too many - Jesus came to pay for our sins - this is not automatically applied to every human being - we are called to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ (putting our entire trust in Him for salvation).
...If we do trust in Him, life has meaning, a real purpose, He will never leave us, His promises are sure and true, and a place in Heaven is guaranteed for the believer - this is the best of both worlds - where can you find a better deal than that?

Good. I wish too. We have have the same thinking, and it shows our evil our mind is.
But it is also says that 'if we sin willfully after we know the truth, there remain no more sacrifice for sins'. (Heb 10:26)
How I wish there is no such teaching, than I can go on sinning. But there is this cap to hold us to our actions.
When someone pays for our car-park fine each time we got a ticket, can we keep on drving carelessly, and keep getting ticket for that person to continue to pay for us? Can we say are grateful?

But all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Jesus dieing for us doesn't give us license to do whatever we want.
So, Jesus didn't die in vain because we all sin, like it or not. To believe one can't sin is self deception.

Trinitarian Christianity is the most ridiculous ideology ever invented.
According to Trinitarians, Jesus is not dead, so he paid no price. And, if we accept to his temporary "death" as payment, there is no penalty for sin.
Claiming God killed himself is ridiculous concept & ideology on the face of it.

Jesus has died for our sin...that doesn't mean we should start doing sin again....even if you have done some sins, repent for them and accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. You will find a place in Heaven.
