I try to answer questions I feel are sincere. Most of the answers can be found in the Bible. If I can help one person become a believer, I have done something for The Lord. Go to your minister and ask him or her your questions if you are in doubt. Otherwise, stop asking if you are just trying to put hate mail on here.

So far, I've mostly answered questions on here about God. Amazingly, there are a few people who actually know what they are talking about, and a large amount of non-believers, of whatever ilk who are only trying to bait believers into rants and tirades against those non's. This doesn't help the testimony of the believers, but, hurts instead.
I tend to give them the facts, as I have been taught them, and point them in the right direction. What they DO with that info is then in their own hands. They can research more, if they are honestly seeking, or they can find something else to try to slam us for, BUT, I will have done my best to assist someone else to find the truth, after that, I can accept my own place in heaven and not be held accountable for not putting the information in their hands and giving THEM the chance to also attain heaven.

This website is not only for questions about God. And if you do NOT believe in God and have no desire to, than you would not be going to your minister. That is was yahoo answers is for. People who feel that there are other sources of information than the bible, or encyclopedias.Your question was a question until you read the subtext.

I don't think any one person on here has helped. I think it is a combination of answers that has helped. It helps open my mind and see things through someone else's eyes. The hate mail? Yes, I get a little of that too. But, that's alright. Maybe they just need to vent and take it out on avatars on Yahoo Answers. :)

I agree with you.
I'm actually an agnostic, but I feel it's not right to harass anyone of any religion.
I respect that you choose to be a Christian or that other choose to be whatever religion they like.
I hate negative questions and answers, and feel that if you cant respect others you shouldn't be allowed to answer, as you're answer doesn't help, it just aggravates.
Live and let live.

A friend of mine helped me years ago. See I was a drunk and abused drugs also. I resented GOD and this friend helped me by explaining to break his name down as follows: G.O.D. whcih could either stand for Good Orderly Direction or Go On Drinking. I choose Good Orderly Direction nearly 30 years ago and continue to use this as my defination of a Higher Power.

Someone certainly helped me answer questions about God, but not on here.

And, I had to build on what they taught me.

I agree with what you said about putting hate mail up.

its hard to answer questions with the bible when the one asking doesnt believe that the bible is as you believe. for those of us who dont believe in the bible your quotes from it are as useful as me quoting a movie and saying its sacred. however i like to know what people think and the only way you can learn about something is by askign questions, and the only way you can debate somethign is by learning about it.

If I can help one person find reason, my work here is done. This is not hate mail; it is my honest belief.
