My heart and prayers go out to them.
We, in America, have never gone through what other countries do on a regular basis and I wonder how much our thinking would change if we were to.
The people in this country figure: It's over there, not my problem, and the worst of all: We forget too easily.
As soon as the news (or neighbors) drops an issue we drop it also.
Doesn't speak too highly of us does it?

What's the point of calling our world a civilized, intelligent world when this kind of thing happens? We are worse than animals. At least animals kill to survive and are acting on instinct. They don't know any better. We should.
