Romans Chapter 15 verse 24

Whensoever I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you: for I trust to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first I be somewhat filled with your company.

In those days Spain wasn't an area of the world with much of a culture or population. It was probably sparsely populated by peoples who were there just because they got there, and those people didn't have a kingdom a ruler or a series of laws. The civilized world at that time was (present day) Iraq, Iran Saudi Arabia Turkey Lebanon Israel Egypt Ethiopia Sudan Somalia Italy Greece Yemen all the other little countries around Saudi Arabia and maybe Algeria. Even by the time Revelations was written, Gaulian cultures were just spawning and beginning to take hold. Spain wasn't in the Bible because it really didn't 'exist' so to speak.

In the Book of Jonah (1:3).....

Jonah tried to flee from the Lord by heading in the opposite direction to the place God had sent him. Jonah was heading to Tarshish from Joppa. Tarshish is thought to be a Mediterranean port on the coast of Spain.
