Ok, I understand you say Jesus died for our sins. But what I don't get is why he would have to do that. The bible says no man is without sin, and I totally agree, but if Jesus died for our sins then does it not even matter if we sin? Why do we have to ask forgiveness and all that if he already paid our moral "fines." If that is true than the only requirement to get to heaven is belief in Jesus and it doesn't matter whether you sin or not? Can someone tell me what part I'm missing? And please don't just quote 2/3 of the bible to avoid answering because I really want to know.

I've heard that some Christians have respect for other religions. I've even heard of some Christians who have said all religions strive for the same Truth and that non-Christians who are good people will go to heaven. How can this be? How can you believe Jesus is the Son of God and that there is only one God, yet turn around and say that Hinduism, which has it's own Gods, is also a valid religion that deserves respect?

I'm not condemning people who say these things. In fact, I think the idea that all faiths lead to the same truth is enlightened. In fact, I'm really curious, how do you balance faith in Christ and respect for other religions?

It's still fiction and unless you can prove otherwise, you gotta admit you only believe in God because it's self-gratifying.

I find it hard to believe that the man, the sun of god Jesus has a book written about him with millions if not billions of followers. You are supposed to devote your life to his cause and existance. The book that is written on him skips over more than a third of his life. I know If I was a devoted baptist I would be a little upset. I would want to know what he had for dinner lunch and breakfast every day of his life. If you should worship him shouldnt you know everything? Anyone else feel like they got Jipped on the jesus section in the bible?

On South Park the characters are more entertaining and you usually learn a valuable life lesson at the end of the show.

The Bible isn't proof. It's just a piece of literature like The Odyssey or The Book of the Dead.

Basically what I am asking is if the bible says it it must be true right? You don't believe some of the stories in the bible are there for the "Moral of the story"? If the bible says it does it mean thats the way you should live your life? Arn't we supposed to look at god, be like him act like him in everything we do? How come people who believe in the bible don't do everything the bible says? Just what they want to do?

Let's assume I believe that God exists. Let's also assume that Jesus was somehow "more" Gods child than all of us are, perhaps even God incarnate. From this perspective, is it even useful to ask "what would Jesus do"? Can he be an example for us?
I can see him as a great HUMAN, and then his example is relevant. But when I am asked to see him as divine, he suddenly has knowledge and capabilities I have no access to, or even comprehension of. How is a being with that kind of nature relevant as an example for a human without those capacities?

Why do they represent Jesus of how he died rather than how he lived? Isnt that like an example of a relative killed by a weapon? Then represent that weapon by having it hanged around your neck.

I'm just wondering because there are a lot of people that do it, not just teenagers, adults too. I don't think it's a sin, more of a mental illness that God can heal but is there any scripture in the Bible about this topic?
