Catholics do not sprinkle for baptism.
We use full immersion or pouring water over the head.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church states: Baptism is performed in the most expressive way by triple immersion in the baptismal water. However, from ancient times it has also been able to be conferred by pouring the water three times over the candidate's head.
With love in Christ.

Actually Catholics practice immersion, sprinkling, dunking or whatever is available. Immersion is the preference if possible, but not all places have that as a possibility.
The differences between Methodist and Catholic, from my experience, is that Methodists have less involvement in their services because of the nature of them, but otherwise they are identical. In fact, I know a Methodist pastor of a very poor church, whose church board accidently ordered a Catholic order of service instead of a Methodist one. They didn't have the money to replace them. No one noticed the differences.
There isn't a big difference between Catholic and Methodist, Catholic and Episcopalian, Catholic and Lutheran and Catholic and Presbyterian. The Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Catholic Church are currently working on formal union. It has concluded that all the original reasons for separation are gone and that there is no theological reason for separation any longer.
Catholic and Methodists even read the same scripture readings each Sunday, with an occaisional variation between them.

As someone who has been various religions, i visit allow you to recognize some quick ameliorations between those religions. in view that anybody is already discussing mormons (LDS), i visit initiate there, i change into LDS the longest 16 years. Mormons in worry-free words trust the Bible is authentic so long because it really is translated properly. Which actually ALL religions trust actually yet, the mormons for sure carry it various steps ahead, it really is in worry-free words translated properly because it confirms or has the same opinion with their different doctrines and books. The LDS church is an evolving faith and stay politically desirable. party...the LDS church doesn't enable blacks to carry the priesthood because they supposedly had the mark of Cain. God meant printed that the curse change into lifted. Ask any LDS why they do no longer drink espresso or tea and they're going to say the caffeine yet ever watched them drink coke, mountain dew or etc. Mormons even trust that we are ALL Gods and could sometime if we stay worth adequate will be coming up our personal worlds like earth. In Romans it speaks of a church the position it says I undergo them record that they have a particular zeal for God yet no longer in accordance to His will, etc in case you retain studying financial ruin 9 into financial ruin 10 you'll see the correlation. there is an spectacular web site stated as Mormons in Transition that has alot of resources. The seventh Day Adventist are christians who note Saturday because the Sabbath as it really is scriptural and are also vegetarians and performance alot of Revelation Seminars that are very informative on the authentic circumstances. Protestants are non catholics. Catholics declare to descend from Peter because Jesus gave Peter the keys to the dominion, traditionally Catholics created the theory interior the Trinity in the course of the Council of Nicea, earlier to the that individuals were one God believers having descended from Judaism. Methodists are a breakoff from the Catholic church. There are ameliorations between religions and their doctrines which i do no longer trust is God meant yet guy's unwillingness to in worry-free words take the Bible for what it says and stay it. we opt to take the parts we adore and discard the parts we do not quite than renounce to the Lordship of Jesus.

The Methodist movement sprang out of the Anglican Church (which is England's equivalent of the Episcopal Church), which had its early roots in catholicism. In some rituals they are similar, but in practice and doctrine, they are quite different.

I'm Catholic--and we pour or dunk the babies (not completely underwater) for baptism. It depends I suppose on each individual church and how they chose to do it. Some parishes are more traditional than others.
