I really didn`t want to hurt anybody

I wanted to prove a point, if you took verses out of the context from any book , the Quran, the bible, whatever it can be interpreted falsley. I wanted just to show the Christians who attack Islam by taking Quranic verses out of the context & having their own interpretation, that I can do the same with the bible. But again I`m sorry if anybody was hurt, for I remebered Prohphet Muhammad`s saying:"Don`t Insult their relegion, so that they don`t Insult yours"

If anybody is hurt again I`m sorry, I didn`t mean that

Should sex be mainly for intimacy or just for fun? What about life time celibacy, is it worth it?

Ok, supposedly from what I gather, most Christians believe that young children and people who never had the opportunity to know God are spared from Hell when they die because they can't be punished for what they were never taught.

So, if that's the case, then why do Christians insist on spreading the word of God as missionaries/door to door/and such. Wouldn't we all go to Heaven if you had kept your own religion to yourself? Wouldn't an eternity in Heaven have been greater than knowing and trying to understand in this life?

It's common for atheists to say to believers:

"It's your belief that a god exists, so it's up to you to support it, not up to us to refute it"

...and:

"Belief in the existence of gods is one of an infinite number of beliefs that we can imagine, and just because we haven't disproved them, that doesn't mean we should believe any of them".

These are perfectly valid points, and perfectly good reasons to decline to believe religious people's unsupported beliefs (or any unsupported beliefs for that matter), but there are also good logical arguments that deities with specific attributes - e.g. intelligent creator gods and the tri-omni gods of the classical monotheistic religions - cannot possibly exist.

Can you give me any of those logical arguments?

For those who are expert in how the bible is translated into english. I had a NIV Bible. John 7:8-- You go to the feast. I am not YET going up to this Feast, because for me the right time has not yet come.

A comment below it said that the YET in the capital is not found in Some Early Manuscripts. It is added later. So why is it added later?
Is it the writer error or they do it according to the context and added it? Please expert only. Any webpage I can go to understand it?

I am not sure if I really experienced it...But last night I woke up,it was past 12:00 to get a drink in our refrigerator and I saw a lady staring in our window. She looks like a mannequin and she's wearing a white dress, her eyes are ferocious.I felt I had concentrated my whole being at the center of my eyes located below my forehead...Could you tell me something about this?

I was taught taht to get to Heaven you had to do a few things:
1. Ask God into your life
2. Be born again ( baptised)

So what about all teh peopel before us taht NEVER knew of God, Jesues or anything else.

Cultures all over the world worshipped eveything from the Sun and Moon to gods on a mountain.

If they NEVER knew of anything else, are tehy all in hell? If tehy are nto and for some reason get "Grandfathered" into heaven, what is teh purpose of having them here in teh first place?

Muslim women are dressed from head to toe in that bag they call a dress. Yet Muslim men can wear anything they like. I find this very two faced. I'm all for equallity and if the women can't wear reasonable clothing I think the men should be made to wear a similar outfit as their wives. What do you think?

I allowed one of your members to upset me and I am afraid I became rather hateful. I apologize for my behavior and will endeavor to not do it again. I took it out on several people in several different questions and I should know better than to be a hypocrite in my own beliefs.

Will you accept my humble apologizes?

vote. Seems a lot to me they are much like religious scholars that take the name of God in vain and taint the truth with the sweet sugar coated false promises and twisted lies to bait, influence, scare and herd the flocks into a justifiably moral direction . Do the means justify the end ? Does the end justify the means?

First off, I am asking a real question. this is not to piss anyoen off just to help me.

Prayer...Why do we do it?
If God already knows our path in life why do we pray? I have heard all my life things like " Lets pray for Sister Emma, she is sick in the hospital". What if we don't pray for her, will taht mean she does nto get better?

Some say taht you should pray that "God's will be done"...That does not make sense to me. He already knows what he is going to do.

What is teh diffrence between a Christian Prayer, Buddhist Chant or Wiccan Spell? Are tehy not all teh same things?

Hi, I wonder if someone can help me with this religious dilemma.

I have recently been contacted by God ( allah) and, during a lengthy conversation he informed me that he would like me to be his chosen prophet here on earth. However he also said he wasn't willing to discuss how he arrived at this decision, because no-one would understand it.

This leaves me with a dilemma though. Obviously I am keen to take up the new role as chosen prophet but how do I know that it really was GOD who was speaking to me? There have been so many false prophets in the past and I'd just hate it if this happened to me, too.

Any advice would be appreciated!
