I was taught taht to get to Heaven you had to do a few things:
1. Ask God into your life
2. Be born again ( baptised)

So what about all teh peopel before us taht NEVER knew of God, Jesues or anything else.

Cultures all over the world worshipped eveything from the Sun and Moon to gods on a mountain.

If they NEVER knew of anything else, are tehy all in hell? If tehy are nto and for some reason get "Grandfathered" into heaven, what is teh purpose of having them here in teh first place?

Baptism means to cleanse the soul with the living water, that is the teachings of the Messenger of the One True God. The condition of a pure and obedient soul is heaven.
He who refuses to obey God, evidently suffers the dark condition of his soul, that is his hell.
He who gets no chance to hear about God is not suffering like the person who heard and voluntarily refused to follow. God has special treatment to the innocent soul.
Yes, God is just, He rewards obedient people and He punishes the disobedient ones.
The purpose for man to make a journey over the earth is to prepare himself for a more gloriuos life through conscious knowledge and hard purification.

Kids and people who never had the opportunity to know about Jesus are supposed to be forgiven.

If that's the case, then why do Christians insist on spreading the word of God as missionaries/door to door/and such. Wouldn't we all go to Heaven then if you had kept it a secret? Woudln't that have been greater than knowing in this life?

John the Baptist started that . and Jesus reinforced it by taking baptism from him. It only applies to those who wish to enter the Christian Idea of Heaven. The Pagans and other religions have there own form of a Baptism that will get them into their idea of a heaven.

Maybe you should use a spellchecker next time I would say my friend. You are correct the only way to go to Heaven is to accept jesus as your personal saviour. God was here first so I would say all people would have had a way to know him. www.mpbc.org.au

The bible says "believe and be baptise". You must believe in Jesus and so you will have eternal life. As for those who had never heard of Jesus b4, the bible says that Jesus himself went to them in hade to preach to them. And as for those at the far end of the world where they are cut from the world. It will judge according to their deeds. Hope I have answer your question.

first of all it is anyone who understands that there is a greater being and you have to ask for forgiveness for all things you have done wrong. second... baptising is just a symbol of your sins being "washed" away and being "reborn" as a believer in the faith of christianity. some churches proclaim that you have to be baptised but thats just silly. you dont.

According to Dante, you guys are in limbo, which is right above Hell. You lived a good life but weren't baptized.
