So if you can't know you might as well be worshiping these fallen gods.

Ramz...some mythologies have last thousands of years. The Bible being around for 2000 years means nothing. Folklore does not die.

You can't. Each of the gods is believed in based on faith. I personally don't believe in any supernatural beings: gods, devils, souls, angels, archangels, ghosts, leprechauns, tree spirits, etc. But most people do.

By the way, which of all the gods currently being worshiped around the world were you referring to? Allah, Shiva, Jesus...

I think it's pretty clear he is made up. The Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) is very clearly the mythology of the Jews. It was stories that had been handed down for generations and then were finally written down when they developed the ability to write on long lasting media. The story of creation (Genesis) is clearly a myth story that has no relation to what we know now. The story of Noah's Ark is also clearly myth. As is the story of Job. The emphasis on sacrificing animals, the condoning of slavery, the myriad 'crimes' that were punished by stoning, etc. etc.

From what I undestand of the history of Christianity, there were early Christian leaders who didn't want the Old Testament to be part of the holy canon. I think Chrisitianty would be a more noble religion today if they had dropped the Old Testament. But they kept it because they thought the supposed fortelling of Christ in the Old Testament would be necessary to convince followers that Christ was the Messiah.

Because fallen gods were made up in people's heads. Like the Aztecs with no offense, believed that a white man was God which was a Spaniard who ended up betraying the Aztecs. I have no clue of other falling gods but our God is based on evidence from the bible. Not many people believe in it for ignorance but then why has the bible existed over the years??? Moreover I think God is in us believing and not letting others lnfluence us. If we let a country invade our homeland and makes us believe in their god it would depend on us if we allow their beliefs get to us.

Folklore doesn't die?

How many worship Caesar? Frigg? Heimdall?
Bacchus? Ceres? Huh? Petbe? Khepri?

Do you even know other than Caesar who these gods were?

Some of them haven't been around 1500 years!

Christianity has only been around 2000 years
Judaism around 4000 years
and now everybody knows about them!
The God of Abraham has not even tilted!

So many people just want to believe in something so bad that they truly start to believe that it's true, even though they have no idea if it or if it isn't.
