I would personally think that time and distance as you stated would make the spread of different views to be slower, but I can not see any change in the results after the spread was accomplished. As I see it with rapid communication today ideas can be transferred instantly world wide, but that does not in any way change the innate nature of humankind. It just gives them the opportunity to act faster and do things faster that they would do anyway but at a slower pace because of the delayed communications.

I do not know if you can accept my view, but then that is your option. At least you must admit I was able to communicate with you fast from the Philippines. Maybe 100 years ago it would have taken 3 to 6 months to do that. Now did it change you or your view of your religion? You must answer that OK.

Now do have a good day and do smile while you think that over my friend.

It is true teachings in religions cannot ignore the time at which things happened for welfare of the soieciety was at the centre of all scriptures. It has to take into account various factors of the time at which these have occured. Hence the region and the time at which corrections have to be made by the various messiahs of the religions have a definite bearing. Their appearance were very relevant to the time at which they have to be present.

My personal belief is that things have changed over a period of time. Sometimes for good and sometimes not so. Things do change with time, circumstances, practicality, geography and even sometimes convenience. It has happened to all religions. And this will keep happening. It's upto us to accept what is right and what is wrong. We need to be very sensible and sensitive about these things.

Imagine the bigger impact Christianity would have had if Jesus had traveled all over the world performing "miracles." I think it would have had a bigger impact than what it is now.

The same with Buddha and Mohammad, but who knows. The religions in themselves should not have changed, but there would have been a lot more followers and believers.
