The Bible wrong ?!?! Blasphemy!

The next thing you will say is that politicians lie!

Saying the Bible is wrong is like saying an episode of the Simpsons is wrong.

The Bible is True, and some of it really happened, is one of my favorite quotes about the Bible. When you read a great book, whether it's literature, a play, poetry, biography, autobiography; do you come away saying, what was true or false? or do you come away thinking about elements that inspired you, or resonated with you? When a friend tells you a story do you ask how much happened exactly the way they said? Or do you discuss it and try to find meaning in the event? The Bible isn't a text book, or a history book. It's a collection of all kinds of writings and styles, over hundreds of years, giving witness to many people's experiences and beliefs as individuals and community.
So 4 I guess...

too simple of a question for an answer.

obviously there can be misreadings by the scholars and we may find out that we have been taught something that is no longer thought to be the way we understood it.

there is also the chance of misprinting or misspelling by the publisher, which could cause some confusion.

lastly, although divinely inspired, the books were written, translated, re-written, re-translated and re-written by men and/or women. this makes for a chance of fallacy of the story being read.

that does not invalidate the book as a whole, nor does it invalidate the Word of God.

There is one thing in this life you can place your total trust in.. That is the word of God or what we call the Bible. God is it's author and every word written was inspired by God to the writers. There are no errors or contradictions. I confess that there is much that we still don't understand in God's word but that doesn't make it less than truthful. God will reveal all His word to us at the proper time of His choosing. It is amazing that even today we see prophecy being fulfilled that is 2000 years old. Much even 3000 years old. Read His word for yourself and ask Him to reveal it's truth, beauty, and wisdom to you. Hope this helps
