1 Religions are all patriarchal, and in male dominated religions masculinity is the most important trait

2 Religions need followers and the only way to get them in large numbers is to make the women followers have more kids

3 As a result of this any union that did not or does not produce children is considered wrong, because they lose followers

4 God's of every religion is always a masculine male

so can you understand as to why all religions are against homosexuality?

I can feel the essence of me. It is who I am inside. Do you think that it is possible to have a soul and still not believe in a supreme being? I do. Please don't insult me, I am not trying to convert anyone. I am just curious because I don't understand. I do believe in God but that has nothing to do with this question. Thanks.

For if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, you WILL be saved. Romans 10: 9

Because of what others have done, does not mean it represents the whole religion. There are radical Muslims just as there are Radical Christians. The United States has had home grown terrorist for YEARS and YEARS (need we mention the KKK? Republicans? The Police?) It is the media who portrays Muslims in a bad light because of what a few radicals do. I'm sick of being downgraded on Yahoo! TAKBIR! What does Islam really teach? Please back up your answer with Qur’an or Sunnah. It takes a Ummah to raise a Muslim

This question was asked less objectively last time. I hope the Bible critics can play fairly this time.

Please post ONE AND ONLY ONE example of what you consider to be a contradiction in the Bible.

So that I can't be accused of picking the one that suits my needs the most, I will let the readers pick the one they think is the best answer.

I will then post my explanation of why this is not really a contradiction in the Bible.

I plan to demonstrate that the things people think are contradictions actually glorify God even more but only to those willing to search the matter out.

Of course I will get accused of rationalizing everything to fit my needs which is why I will post my answer back as a question and let the readers vote on whether I have done an objective job at answering the issue.

This should demonstrate that those that say that the Bible is full of contradictions are really just making excuses.

All posts must contain one and only one example to be voted on.

And no I am not strange looking but very ordinary.

Many many Christian groups have come to the Mississippi Gulf Coast after Katrina, it's been a year and they are still here. Many say this has been a life altering experience for them. They have been a big help to us. I know they have the best intentions and we appreciate it. But they look at us with such a strange expressions on their faces. We are just ordinary people like everyone else. What in the world are they thinking? Can any of you Christian people give me a clue? I can't read them very well and I am pretty good at reading people.

The top scientist are mostly Atheists.

If God is not behind scientific discoveries which save lives, shouldn't you be praying to scientist which are mostly Atheists?

If God controls Atheists, why are we still Atheists?

They both believe in God but Catholics believe Jesus Christ was the son of God and Jews believe he was just a prophet or whatever you would like to label him as. I was raised a Catholic and the differences there scare me because one of the religions is dead wrong. Either He was the son of God or not, there is no inbetween. If the Jews are right then I think about how everything has been a lie. I also think how priests and many people have wasted hours upon hours of their time, if not their whole lifes dedication, worshipping Jesus or preaching about him. Does this "scare" anyone else??? What is your opinion on this matter?

5 Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.7 So the LORD said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.”

Genesis 6:5-7 (New King James Version)

Disclaimer: I'm an agnostic. Not trying to change anyones religion or hurt anyones feelings.

There is something wrong with my Bible, it seems to be written by someone who thinks that God uses natural disasters to punish human beings. I'm sorry, is this the intellectual equivalent of "we didn't sacrafice enough virgins to zeus thats why our wheat did not grow, now we must do rain dance"
