Everyone has their own interpretation of what the Bible says. Personally the only part of the Bible that I believe and try to live is the 10 commandments. The rest of it is too contradictory.

Nope, just like a person doesn't have to believe what a doctor says about medicine for it to work or what the label on a bottle of rat poison says for that matter.

Nope, look at teachers who teach religious studies for a living. They're packed full of information about many major religions. But they could follow just one or none.
