God is not into "possession." The whole point, the whole point to being on this Earth is to allow us a choice as to WHO we will serve. God does not CONTROL anyone. He lays out the choices and the end results, we make the choices and face the responsibility of the results.
Scientific discoveries are built upon previous discoveries. All knowledge of this type builds from the past gains in that field. It is a natural progression of knowledge. God is NOT behind scientific discoveries! Just like choice, if science is used to better mankind, then you have the end result of that...and if it is used for evil, you will have the end result of that.

I don't think God "controls" anyone. He just wills things to happen or be that way. He destines it. Yes, scientist may save lives. But who created them, i mean gave them life..? God, right?
And God is the most merciful, most wise, if you ask Him to give you good health or cure what ever illness you have, and he doesn't, then there's a reason behind that. And that reason is only for your own good. So i think it's God we should be praying to, and the scientists we should ask God to bless. Sorry if i didn't answer your question properly. Just trying to help out.

god does not control anything, especially athiests. a scientist's intelligence is not given to them or controlled by god. a scientist does the work he/she does because they put in the effort of learning the trade, and most of them care enough to. praying is related to a god, and if you dont believe in a god, there is nothing to pray to, right? you are implying by this statement that we should consider scientists as gods. thats the most ridiculous thing ive ever heard. maybe if there was a god we wouldnt need scientists? put simply, athiests are athiests because god doesn't control anything, primarily because he doesnt exist.

The top scientists are mostly Atheists ?
In History, I don't think so.
What about Da Vinci ? Darwin ? Copernic ? Newton ?
Galilée ? Pascal ? Kepler ? Einstein ?
Actually, many scientific advances have found their roots because Genius wanted to understand God's World (in this logic)
Einstein about Faith : "Je ne peux pas concevoir un vrai scientifique dénué de cette foi profonde. Cette situation peut être décrite par cette image: la science sans religion serait éclopée." (sorry i don't know the original version)

scientist who made discoveries are people (christian or atheist) given a peek by God into a portion of the sciences, laws, physics etc etc etc are created by God. that tiny peek (revelation) from a creative God is hail as great discovery by the world & we award them with noble prizes. God create & continue to create & continue to maintain creation forever regardless atheists or christian. the bible says He send rain to the "christian farmer & his atheist farmer next door" all alike. have you seen isolated shower raining on christian only?

Who says God controlled anyone? And YES ma dear, there is such a thing as free will. Fact. Also, scientists are REQUIRED to keep an open mind, and that includes accepting the supernatural.

No. i think of, Atheists do no longer prefer to become gods. Why some physique will prefer to become some element that he's denying to exist. that's the infantile thinking of the believers that somebody denying the existence of god equals himself asserting god. i think of they are in a position to no longer think of any element devoid of concerning god.

Praying to scientists? LOL
I'll stick to just talking to them and asking them questions.
Or is that prayer? Hmm?
