There being corruption in some of the people of the Church is true. This just proves they are humans that sin. Didn't Peter deny Christ, didn't Thomas doubt, didn't Paul persecute? So, if they had their failings but are considered to have divine authority from Christ why not the priests, bishops, and popes since them? Aren't we to condemn the sin but not the sinner? That is for Christ to do not us. Believe me those people who had such authority and abused it will pay a price for their sins.

Divine authority was passed down from Abraham to Jesus. From Jesus it fell upon the ordained ministers who were chosen and sent by those who received their authority from Christ. The thing that remains pure is the teachings and that is in scripture.

No, I don't think you heard me. What in Hell do you want? If you are not following God then there must be something in Hell that you are looking for. What is it?

Uh, oh...I didn't start nothing did I?

If you're a Christian too, I don't need to hear "I'm a Christian". If you want to speak on the question then I'd like to hear what you think non-Christians want.

Thank you and God bless.

If you think so, how is God not responsible for all of the horrible things the Devil supposedly does given that he sees it and has all the power to stop it?

They just didn't write about it because it was irrelevant to the story that they were telling or perhaps it was edited out by a past generation. They wrote very little about Jesus' childhood, but we know that he had to be a kid.

i often wondered whether blacks can adapt to hinduism. If they are do they know bout the caste system

caste system catorgarizes people into different status. Notice that most dark complextion Indians in India are amounst the lowest caste.

........and bollywood film industry always has fair people as main actors. You will find in the background scenes in of their movies people (obviously acting in the movie) who are dark. Dark actors do play as the main bad guys

by the way i am a medium complexion muslim indian guy

Instead of getting into a fit or preaching your religion everytime a religious question outside of your path is asked, why not just let it go.

when people ask a Christian question, let fellow Christians or people who are knowledgable in Christianity answer...

when a pagan question is asked, let fellow Pagans or people who are knowledgable in Paganism answer...

when a hindu question is asked, let fellow Hindus or people who are knowledgable in Hindu answer...

and so on and so forth........... we are here to learn, not to be preached at by others. just let it be and let the ego go...........

Debating with Atheists is entering danger zone. You would rather not go there

Most of the things you talk about on a daily bases gets you no where. Why not debate about religion?

My friend, Mike, insulted my friend, Dan, over a year ago. Mike was only kidding around and Dan took it was too seriously. I was there and heard the whole thing. Dan blew up at Mike's comment. Mike apologized immediately. Dan was still fuming a half hour later and stormed off. They haven't talked since. Mike has made several attempts to make contact with Dan, but Dan completely ignores him. Mike has even asked mutual friends, including me, to talk to him to find out what's going on and why Dan won't let this go. Dan refuses to talk about it and doesn't even want to hear Mike's name mentioned. Mike and Dan have been good friends for a long time and it's silly that something so petty has come between them. What really bugs me is that Dan is a devote Catholic, goes to church every Sunday, follows the bible closely, and prays all the time. I thought that Catholics are not suppose to hold grudges and are suppose to forgive. No, Mike's insult was not about Dan's religion.

CERVICAL CANCER: FEDERAL ADVISORY PANEL RECOMMENDS VACCINE. Human papillomavirus (HPV)is the most common sexually transmitted disease. By protecting against four strains, Gardisil prevents most cervical cancer. The vaccine is expensive, however, and the disease is most prevalent among the poor. Still, vaccinating girls from 11-18 would cost less than the flight of Discovery. The recommendation was unanimous, but the vote to make Plan B available over the counter was also overwhelming. Why would anyone object? "Because," a spokesperson for Focus on the Family snarled, "You don't catch it, you have to go out and get it."

Anyone else find this highly offensive?
