The word that comes first into my mind first is – collective consciousness. I think the universal mind is the essential intelligence or wisdom behind all things of existence. In all that exists, I believe, there is just one universally recognisable truth. And all that exists, or is creation, is a manifestation of this essential truth. We know this singular truth behind creation through universal intelligence or wisdom. We know that the universe is balanced, harmonious and inherently purposeful. We can know these principles, we appreciate them, but we also have a capacity to deviate for them. This makes me realise that there is also a sub-entity within universal mind that can assume a course of its own, and this can only be within us.

A universal mind is a conceivable entity only when it is considered alongside something that does not exist but can possibly exist – a non-existence. Now, how can this be possible? How can we possibly recognise something that simply does not exist? I have thought about this but I could not become clear until I considered non-entity or non-existence indirectly. I understand non-existence as a capacity of what exists to exist in an increasingly better way – as an unfulfilled, or unaccomplished capacity, or a void, or something that will only be created when what has already been created wishes to do so. I have explained this in order to prove that universal mind is a detectable and definable entity. For if there is all light everywhere, light then would not have been noticeable as a thing.

Now, within this universal mind - all that is intelligently and recognisably, I believe there is our collective human consciousness. All our knowledge, understanding and beliefs, and all our capacities to develop and to live increasingly sophisticatedly, constitute our collective consciousness. All that we can know originates from our personal consciousness, and as our consciousness develops, it spreads all around like the light of a candle; it creates links that we know were never there before, until it reaches the very boundaries of existence to participate in the process, or miracle, of creation itself.

There is only one mind, the universal mind. Every one can gain access to it, and have it as one's mind, by letting go of the narrow-minded concepts, attitudes and desires indoctrinated in us by society.------ Engaging in meditation, pursuing fundamental questions such as " Who am I and how do I fit into the universe? ", and reading/using great books such as the Wilhelm translation of the I Ching (Book of Changes) and the Bhagvat Gita are excellent steps forward.------The most important thing is genuinely desiring clear-minded awareness of the universal mind. You will get it!------Why not ask the universe three times each day...for a week... to do it for you! You will be amazed by the response.------Best wishes. Philip A.

First thing I thought was "Consciousness. He means Universal Consciousness.".

Then, for some reason, I thought "What if America was a German speaking country?". Would we still reliably share the same accepted platforms of general knowledge and perceptions?

To me it means that a large group of people are cooperating and each individual is contributing their talent to the goal of the group in order to peacefully get a job done....I don't see this as having a leader per se, but rather everyone sharing info. when their particular body of knowledge is needed. There is complete respect for each member and appreciation for his or her special skill or talent.

that all knowledge is already there, we just have to remember it as we go through life and experience it. we will not understand it unless it happens to us in a way that we can feel it. it's already known, but not fully understood until we go through it. just because it's universal knowledge does not mean it's common knowledge. it's there, when you are able to understand it.
