Instead of getting into a fit or preaching your religion everytime a religious question outside of your path is asked, why not just let it go.

when people ask a Christian question, let fellow Christians or people who are knowledgable in Christianity answer...

when a pagan question is asked, let fellow Pagans or people who are knowledgable in Paganism answer...

when a hindu question is asked, let fellow Hindus or people who are knowledgable in Hindu answer...

and so on and so forth........... we are here to learn, not to be preached at by others. just let it be and let the ego go...........

Unfortunately some people can not let it go. Their ego's are too large to be able to do that. If you look hard enough you will find intelligent people and answers from all religions. It is just finding the time to weed out all of the unintelligent from these! A lot of people are just on here to get a rise out of people or to be a purposeful pain in the butt.

I must say I agree in most respects of this question. But that is the joy of religion, the freedom to express what you wish. I only with that the zealots (that seem to be in abundance on this site) would take it easy sometimes.

Unfortunately these people are not going to go away so you have to be the bigger person and let it slide. Concentrate on the intelligent answers you recieve and be sure you comment on the people who are making this site a better and more knowledgable place!

I absolutely agree....For example....If someone asks "do you pagans think ____?"....if you're not a pagan why do you answer?

You people are quite annoying sometimes with your interjections of your own beliefs where they're not asked for....stop trying to push what you believe on everyone else...and stop trying to degrade or put down others because what they believe is different from what you belive.

It's just disrespectful!

People get reported for being negative to other races...so why not be held accountable for being negative to other religions and beliefs.

EDITED TO ADD:
By the way...I'm a christian and I do not believe in pushing your religion on someone else. That will only make them dislike you even more. If you want them to see what your religion is all about show them in your actions and the positive words you speak...don't be negative or demeaning of someone else.

Good point - I do try to let questions go that are not asking for a Christian answer, or my viewpoint as a Christian

Sometimes i do, but this site is for A/Q and if i believe i can give a decent answer to a question, i will, it doesn't matter if i'm hindu, atheist, christian or whatever...

I generally pass on questions that ask for a particular viewpoint that isn't my own. sometimes you get thoughtful answers from others and that's not bad - its the ones that jump in and tell you you are worshiping Satan or going to hell (or the "I don't believe in fairy tales ones as well) that are annoying.

I already do this and I'll bet a lot of other people do too. It's just the loud minority that makes the rest of us look bad.

Sounds like a good argument for separatism to me? You must be European?

That is not our way here in the USA. We are a melting pot and we all learn from our interactions with one another good and bad. Who are you? The mayor of Yahoo?

"There is intelligence to be found everywhere, even in ignorance."

I think your last bit says it all. "We are here to learn..." So, if I can present a different viewpoint, in a tactful way, then why should you censor my words? I'd rather take in a lot of information from various sources than hear only one "word," wouldn't you?

We are here to learn? For some maybe, but for many it's blowing off harmless steam and having a little fun. Lighten up

Because the Bible says that Christians should "Witness to others, that all may see the glory of God."
