Are our lives predetermined or is life what we make it?

This species was discovered recently in Indonesia, where many other dwarf animal species (ex: dwarf elephants) have been discovered.

Their brain-size was not much larger than chimps and they were on average about three feet tall. But they had tools and made fires.

People who are ignorant of evolution or the science of anthropolgy, may say something ignorant like "this fossil discovery was simply that of a small child or person with dwarfism". Please learn about the science before you say stupid things, once you read about the tests they do to determine age, time period, etc., you will not open your ignorant mouth like that in front of real people.

So, we have a whole other human-like species running around in indonesia. They only perished 12,000 years ago and the islanders still pass along fables describing small human-like creatures.

Were they made in God's image too..cause they were man or ape?

It seems to me that it is the latter. At least that's how I read it. I don't think that "accepting" Christ as your savior is sufficient to save yourself from sin, but in trying to live like him you are "accepting" him into your life. Any thoughts?

Why don't we all just stop? Why don't we forget the past? Why not forgive our enemies now? Forget who's 'right' and who's 'wrong'? We're all wrong for fighting. Forget who 'started it'. We all know our respective makers detest war, yet we continue to fight. Those of us who kill unjustly will be punished by our maker. Only the maker can judge us. Please stop now. Our children will thank us.

But I am thinking about cutting everything Paul wrote out. Does anyone else think this way, and if so, what is their denomination? I think we focus too much on the teachings of Christ "through" Paul and not enough on the stuff Christ said himself. Any thoughts?

According to Jesus if you help your fellow man, its the same as if you helped him....

Matthew
34Then the King will tell those on his right hand,'Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;

35 for I was hungry, and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me drink. I was a stranger, and you took me in.
36 I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you visited me. I was in prison, and you came to me.'
37 "Then the righteous will answer him, saying,'Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you; or thirsty, and give you a drink?
38 When did we see you as a stranger, and take you in; or naked, and clothe you?
39 When did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you?'

40 "The King will answer them,'Most certainly I tell you, in as much as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'

Are you willing to make the sacrifice of sleeping with a man you never met, in order to save a soul?

A real Christian would be willing to everything within their power to save another person's soul.

So where do you stand? What say you?

Why are some of you so smug, so closed to the possibility that another faith could be equally as 'right' as your own? And when someone questions your religion why are you are so quick to defend with aggression? Isn't that exactly the way some Muslim Fundamentalists react, prepared to resort so readily to terrorism to defend attacks on their beliefs? So blindly brainwashed into believing that their way is the right one? (This is not an attack on Islam. I am not saying all Muslims are terrorists)

When most people I see who accept grace use it as a crutch to commit sin (see also social evils) Why do I have to accept that I am personally responsible for the horrible murder of a man to be accepted into heaven?

Is it at all possible to you that the "Truth" you were programed with may be inaccurate? Do you acknowledge at all that some other worldview may be more compatible with reality? Or are you already set in your ways like an old person who continues to be racist despite all our advancements in civil rights?

I have a question here. With the onset of an atheist society that feels no connection with our Lord and His sweet commandments of faithfulness after marriage and abstinance before marriage...the sexually transmitted diseases are rampant...if one is a vampire this is quite hazardous and time consuming. Do you realize the time a vampire has to spend now finding someone who doesnt have aids? Just picture it for those poor guys and girls now....they have to ask their victims, " excuse me ? are you monogamous ? "... Do you realize the risk factor now for them ? I mean the poor " suckers " are proly in a panic and on prozac just from the fear and risk factor alone. Do you think a vampire questionaire would make it safer for them ? I think reparations are due to all vampires from the atheist community for the risk and damages they've caused to vampires by rejecting the commandments mentioned. . Anyone agree or disagree ?
