Is it at all possible to you that the "Truth" you were programed with may be inaccurate? Do you acknowledge at all that some other worldview may be more compatible with reality? Or are you already set in your ways like an old person who continues to be racist despite all our advancements in civil rights?

Im 40 now. I'm pretty sure I know the way to the truth, it's not that complicated really. The difficulty is in the sustained practice of mindfulness. I think I did have an appreciation of what was involved before 15, because my mind then was closer to a state of innocence. I have simply 'rediscovered' that state now that I have reached this age.

We are all programmed as children in one way or another, I feel fortunate that I didn't have any beliefs about God or truth forced upon me.

We should all learn to reprogram our brains because a lot of what we learned as children we learned unconsciously as coping mechanisms, to please our parents or teachers or simply because we automatically copied behaviour that we witnessed every day. Many of these behaviours become counterproductive as we get older and we need to challenge them if we are to continue to grow as adults.

I believe the way I do after examining and experimenting with all possibilities. Endless discussions and arguments. Though truth is truth, the interpretation is different. Unless something concrete comes my way (not a pillar or roof or anything like that) I will continue to believe the way I do.
