(stars and planets for navigation, charting seasonal change, etc.)
What about the new stars and planets that we're always discovering with the aid of powerful telescopes? What use are they?

/again, not trying to be mean. Just a thought I had.

I know what you mean, like that, "Banana being made by God as the perfect snack for man." I always argue, if the universe was made for man, then why are there mosquitos? Why are there pineapples, that taste so good but are so hard to get into? Why are there animals that could eat us? I think the people who think this are very vain. I'd more tolerate the opinion that we are just another cog in the clockwork of God's machine.

Those distant stars and planets are for aliens who live in a more fashionable section of the galaxy to use for navigation and charting seasonal change.

Why does it all have to have a use? Can't he creative just for the fun of it? Can't he simple enjoy making all the wonderful and dazzling things in the universe, like a painter enjoys his picture, an author his words, or a florist his flowers?

It was made for God. To bring glory to Him. Such as the vastness of space can help us understand some of the vastness and power of God. We just get the benefits of it for a season.

NOT!!!!! You need to look at all the living things that are around you. For instinct animals, If you really pay attention you'll see there are certain animals and insects that are here for food. for other animals.Look at the woods. It's here for the animals. I could go on and on..The point I'm trying to make is we are just a speck of what is really going on.

I don't believe man created this stuff. I believe these things just are and have always been around........and man occasionally discovers something new. Kinda like Columbus discovering America.
