Why are some of you so smug, so closed to the possibility that another faith could be equally as 'right' as your own? And when someone questions your religion why are you are so quick to defend with aggression? Isn't that exactly the way some Muslim Fundamentalists react, prepared to resort so readily to terrorism to defend attacks on their beliefs? So blindly brainwashed into believing that their way is the right one? (This is not an attack on Islam. I am not saying all Muslims are terrorists)

"God botherer"! Not me! I love Him and He loves me, He is NEVER bothered by me even if I'm constantly talking to Him. In fact the apostle Paul exhorts us to pray without ceasing - I don't do that.

Jesus said "I am THE way THE truth and THE life, no man comes to the Father BUT BY ME". The definate articles indicate that there is no other way to heaven other than Jesus.

What fundamentalists do you know who "react with aggression"? This is anathema to Christian teaching.

There is only one way and we have it. Satan wants you to believe something else. He came to "kill steal and destroy" . He is trying to convince you that other ways exist. Don't listen to him - he is a liar and the father of lies!

I'm not smug, and I've never defended with aggression. We believe Jesus is the only way to heaven because He said so. If we deny that, we deny our very faith.

If God is real, which we (Christians) have determined that He is, and if He is the God of the Bible, which we (Christians) have agreed is the probability, then we (Christians) should obey His commands. They are, among others, that we are to preach the gospel to all men & women, and that Jesus is the only way to reach the father because we have sinned.

By the way, ALL followers of the Christian faith are convinced Jesus is the only way. If they say there are other ways, they are denying their faith. It is logically impossible.

Another thing: it looks to me like you are equating someone who believes he is right and defends his beliefs aggressively to someone who resorts to terrorism. Perhaps you didn't intend that to be the case. But people in general are much-maligned for thinking they are correct, and why is that? Should we all just wander around aimlessly thinking "Gee, I don't know, I don't have the answers," or should we seek these answers? And when we seek and find, why are we automatically labeled closed-minded haters?

First off, it's because we're right, and secondly, you "all hail the big bang from nothingness" believers are more smug than any christians I've seen on YA. The big difference is we don't become as aggressive or nasty because we don't feel the need to try to force you to christianity. You guys, on the other hand, feel some odd need to try to convince us of your big bang theories, try to convince us they're fact instead of the theories they are, and insult us as being a bunch of imbeciles because we know there's actually a purpose to life. I'm sorry you're so empty and your life meaningless, but you know, it's not my fault. Your insults aren't having any effect, except to let loose your ranting needs.

Why is it that u non- believers seem to criticise other religions that u dont believe in?... u always seem to have something nasty and offensive to say to the believers... maybe if u weren't SO rude then u wouldnt get an aggressive answer!... AND maybe if u actually believed that there is someone greater than you, you wouldnt be soo big headed and smug

I'm a christian (catholic) and i don't believe mine is the only way to follow we can all think for ourselves so I would never try and belittle someone else over there religion ... but with all groups you will get a few who will read other meanings in to what the bible says .......and there will always be someone to lead them in the name of god sadly in the wrong way

Because Christ makes it very clear that there is only one way and it is through Him - if he had allowed for other ways he would have taught them - and it's not a smugness it's a full awareness of who Christ Jesus is - I ask my grandfather, a minister, once in my rebellious young adult life, why are you so narrow minded - and he said, "Sugar, I'm only as narrow minded as the Bible is broad". You know, the Bible is a lot broader than some people think in areas they try to make it narrow, but when it comes to ways to heaven and whom to follow, it only allows for One, and that is Jesus Christ, God's son."

Because Jesus SAID so. Why would you follow someone if you didnt believe what He said? Real Christians do not defend their religion with aggression. Jesus also said 'turn the other cheek'.

Christianity is a faith like any other, a way of life that gives us guidance amongst other things. My brother is a Buddhist, so he follows that path, each to his own, live and let live.

Why are we convinced that our way is the ONLY way? Because it is. John 14:6 KJV "I am the way the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

I know that God's way is the only way because He says it is, and I find no errors in the rest of the book. So I see no reason to disbelieve Him when He says He is the only way. If it's His world, He makes the rules.
