The foolish cannot see the forest through the trees, the wise look for the trees within the forest.

I think it means the foolish believes what THEY think and refuses to believe what they see(I think it's kind of like in denial). The wise believes something when they see it in front of them.

foolish people care more on what they see than what they think and the wise ones care less on what they see than what they think they rather stick with knowledge.

stupid people think what they want to, and no amount of evidence will change their minds; they are set in their ways. wise people are willing to adjust their ideas and are open-minded to new possibilities. They take in evidence, and adapt their views accordingly, rather than being blinded by their old ways of thinking (which could be made redundant by new ideas)

That would mean, if I'm not wearing my contact lenses, I shouldn't be able to accept or know much anything...yeah, I don't think that's very accurate.
