I just thought of this... we don't say "mans" or "womans", do we? We say, "men" and "women"? So, my question is, wouldn't it make more sense to say "humen"? It sounds weird, but think about it.

Luke 18:18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
18:19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.
18:20 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.
.....

Luke 14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

The most important things in life are chocolate cake and proper dog training (training of German Shepherds) anyways. At least that's what Adolf Hitler valued most in his last days in his bunker before he committed suicide.

Emperor Qin of China was buried with an army of terra cotta soldiers.

The ancient Egyptians were often buried with boxes of figurines called Ushabti to be their servants in the afterlife.

If they were right, maybe we should be buried with our own armies of soldiers and servants.

I was raised in a christian environment (parents, aunts, uncles, cousins) but stopped attending church in highschool when I realized that I just didn't believe. However, when the subject comes up I usually either find an excuse to leave or just agree not only b/c one of my cousins had a friend who was an atheist and I saw how my family reacted toward him (the cousin included), but also because I live in a very religous community. I have witnessed people turned down for jobs, harassed until they quit, and even fired because of their beliefs. But, other reasons were given of course. So, is it wiser for the atheist to just stay silent?

Am I correct in assuming that according to Christianity which has 2.1 billion followers, (33%) the other 4 billion people (69%) of the world are all wrong in what they believe and doomed for eternal hell because they don't accept Jesus as their saviour? I'd hate to live my life thinking that much of the world was evil...is this what you really believe?

-Are you prepared for the possibility that there might not be a life after death?

-Are you prepared for the possibility that life after death might just look like life with a few minor changes?

-Are you prepared for the possibility that there might neither be a Heaven or a Hell, but just a bunch of spirits huddled around fires defending themselves from bandit raiders??

The average Human these days is mighty single minded when it comes to the many things that could possibly happen after death. In my opinion, that's just not healthy.

Religion is responsible for the majority of wars, conflict and murder of innocent life since humanity began. Even according to Genesis in the Bible, God is the greatest mass murderer in history. Religious preachers continually pump their one theory (God exists) down our throats? There is not one single matter discussed in the Bible out of the many thousands of issues raised that has been proven true.

The only thing we hear about God comes from people speaking on his behalf, namely cult leaders and followers, most of whom are lunatics and war mongers. Religious parents allow their kids to read the Bible, yet the Bible contains some of the worst hatred, violence, killing, and murders ever witnessed in Humanity. Religion is a serious mental illness, it’s the inability to face the reality of life and the finality of death.

Why should Atheists accept people like that and be nice to them?

For the record, humans did not evolve from monkeys. We share a common ancestor which is why humans share as much as 98% of the same DNA as other hominoidea (superfamily of primates which includes humans). If you're going to make claims for us, have the intelligence (i know, i know.. silly request) to research your claims, otherwise, you deem yourself an insipid baboon.

Again, humans DID NOT come from monkeys. Is that clear? Did that penetrate your think skulls?

Why does the Vatican have so much power. I can find no where in the bible where God said, this man is my word on earth, that sounds more like the Mormon idea of a Prophet than a Christain priest. And the plunder. I've been to the Vatican, the artifacts, the riches, the money it makes, the way it commercailizes christianity sickens me. The idea of Limbo. No where in the bible. Was invented in the middle ages when the poor serfs were unable to read and the church took advantage of them. The Catholic church should own up to the sins appart in the way it has acted and the way it acts now, holding on to all its earthy riches and the idea of a God-man (the pope). Where did all the corruption come from?

Would you rather Christians who live sinless lives, or Christians who admit they do not?

I often see Christians critisised when they admit they are not perfect, but I also see them critisised as though they ARE perfect so I'm not sure which is more prefferable?

I am starting a company, selling a product called Everlasting Happiness. All you have to do to get your own piece of Everlasting Happiness is sign this contract, which obligates you to pay 10% of your disposable income to me for the rest of your life. The contract also contains rules for your behavior for the rest of your days. Once per week, you must come to my office, and I will read parts of the contract to you. Should you fail to comply with the terms of the contract, you will be ineligible to recieve Everlasting Happiness, and I will keep all your money. If upon your death, you have fulfilled your obligations laid out in the contract, you will receive Everlasting Happiness.

Any takers?
