Because God told us to be an example.

Reference:

1 Timothy 4:12
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

A 'True Christian' cares what another believes... out of love & concern for that individuals ‘spiritual’ health & welfare: and will speak to them 'In love': the message of the Gospel & Salvation!!

Then they will leave it to the individual, to use his/her God given ‘Freewill’: to Choose to believe, or not to believe!!

I know only too well, the preaching sometimes can be far from like this… rather ‘Hell Fire & Damnation’: and attempt to push & shove into believing… but this cannot be done!! But however the message is put across: the message is still the same!! And we as Christians have a directive/responsibility/duty of care to our fellow man: to make sure that everyone on earth is given the ‘News’ of the Gospel: and the chance to make that choice!!

And we don’t want to leave it until the 11th hour: as by then it could be way too late!! And when your number is called... it is too late!!

God bless you.

If life could only be so simple. When righteous folks, many of them commenting above, feel it is their duty to indoctrinate others, the actions of others are affected. It penetrates into all aspects of our lives, be it two old women knocking at the door trying to give me the Watchtower magazine, or the government legislating what I may or may not do with my body.

Complacency as you've suggested leads to allowing others to continue attempting to control others, ultimately leading to civil strife and often international war.

I would love to live my life peacefully and find out when my car goes slamming into a brick wall, but the beliefs of others are affecting my state of being. So, yes, I care. And so should you.

If I didn't spread the word of Jesus, then I wouldn't be living up to what He asked of us. His message was to go out and spread the Good News to all corners of the earth, and all the places in between. So I try to do that, plus, I wouldn't say that I loved my neighbor, unless I wanted my neighbor to be saved too. Whether or not you believe that is your choice, but I would have at least tried. I don't do the hell fire talk, I just tell about Jesus and His love for us, and what He did for us.

Sounds like agnositcism to me. Huzzah!

But in all fairness, I don't care what you believe, though when you believe something irrational, my "logic sense is tingling" line comes to mind. I'm not saying god is irrational, but certain aspects about him/the bible/and the beliefs associated with it are. Ahh well.

Most religions, especially Christianity, feel that it is our Leader's will to convert the rest of the world to our religion.

If you do nothing....then you have no Faith. If you have no Faith, then it's too late by the time your number is up to get it. (regardless of what religion you are or are not.)

Fine, but you have to agree no one is allowed to legislate righteousness
