Shi'a Muslims consider him the First Imam appointed by the Islamic prophet Muhammad and the first rightful caliph. Ali was the cousin of Muhammad, and after marriage to Fatima Zahra, he also became Muhammad's son-in-law.

Denzarth have told you the right thing.. there is same islam but different leaders... there are few more differences between shiites and sunnis... 80% are sunnis and 20% are Shiites/Shia's

The relations between sunnis and shias werent that great but after the invation of iraq by western powers and the relations between these two groups have dramatically increased.. and both considers each other as muslims and are united against the western powers who want to invade the oil rich land of middle east -- a gift from God/Allah to muslims.....

its how we live over here... we have billions of barrels of oil in our lands... we call americans to pump that out.. they take 8 million barrels/ day only from saudi arabia... calculate it 8 million barrels per day... 1 barrel = $64... it makes billions of dollars per month!

all of them believe interior the comparable principals : one god Allah and his messenger Muhammad peace be upon him. they suspect interior the comparable Quran. yet, its the way they intrrupt the Quran and the sayings of prophet. and to jew_****** who advised u they hate one yet another? im a suni and that i've got friends who r shiite some r even ultimate freinds no hate.
