Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgement you pronounce you will be judged and the measure you give will be the measure you get."
Matthew 7:1-2
Great words to live by. But, it gets better:

"But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you shut the kingdom of heaven against others; for you neither enter yourselves, nor allow those who would enter to go in."
Matthew 23:13-14

Guess what... you have NO right to tell him where he is going as you will not be the judge of him. My best friend in the whole world is agnostic and I would never think of telling him he's going to hell. Tell someone they're going to hell and see how fast they are no longer your friend. If you want him to be saved then the best thing you can so is letting him see the changes in you, let him see why Jesus is such a good part of your life. Did Jesus walk up to any of his friends and say "you're going to hell"? of course He didnt and niether should you. Pray for God to soften his heart and to fill you with good things that your friend will want. That is your best approach.

Tell him about your beliefs and your concern. Then thank him for always being a friend, but Jesus told you that you shouldn't surround yourself with fools and must now take your leave of him for good. He'll thank the Good Lord that he doesn't have to waste his time on such a non-friend anymore! There are better ways to encourage change in a person than beating him about the head and shoulders with fear!

By the way, loving the number of answerers that are assuming "not Christian" means "Atheist".

Do you have any idea how ridiculous that is ? Contrary to what many of us Christians believe - we are NOT the dominant religion in the world. In fact - we are not even the number 2 religion. If you believe that God created man - do you really think he is going to make that many "mistakes"? In other words - if only Christians are going to heaven - then God has sentenced the vast majority of his creations to spend eternity in hell. Do you really believe in a God that would do this? It is certainly not the compassionate version I believe in.

That's not exactly what I would call "sharing the good news." If you really want your friend to consider becoming a Christian, try inviting him to a church activity or something positive like that, if you tell him he's going to hell, he's not going to want to talk to you about religion ever again, and you'll miss your real opportunity to share what you know.

Best Wishes

Don't. Assume that he's going to be saved at the very last minute and have a total change of heart.

Afterall, god luvs everyone, so he must find a way to save them nomatter what happens, even if that means having their free will being "bent" such as to accept his glory at the last moment.

Don't worry about it. It's not worth your mental energy to fret about the majority of people in the world who appear as if they're going to go to hell.

Oo first off dont say that. my friend is heavy duty christian and im agnostic, and he tries to tell me that all the time, it doesnt help me believe hes right if hes warning me im goign to hell. all it did was push me away from the christian religion. u want to show him christianity is the way to go, then you need to show him through example, people learn through example not by being told. how many kids listen 100% to their parents? none, they all do somethign stupid and get hurt and they learn. you have to leave it to your friend. pushing on peoples bubble is never a good idea.

Do you want him to still be your friend? Then leave him be. I can almost guarantee you that he's heard it all before and is rather likely tired of it. Things like that have been known to ruin friendships.

Besides: Who goes to hell or not is a matter of opinion. For all you know, you're the one who's gonna burn while he gets the free ride upstairs.

First of all if you are a christian you dont just say Hey your going t hell you are supposed to try to encourage him to come to christ. You know plant the seed if he doesnt water it to make it grow then he will never bear fruit and as long as you know you done your part then there is nothing else you can do. Have a serious conv. about it if you are worried about him. Which you should be if u r a good friend.

You best not. People are offended by that belief and judgment. Please don't judge anybody and being a Christian does not give you the authority to force your beliefs on others. I hope you are aware that hell is just a made-up place that Christians believe "sinners" are going to. It is not real.
