This is a serious question, aimed at the serious fundamentalist Christians. I don't want Bible quotes, because I think it shouldn't be taken literally. I think that believing in God is what's important, but I don't go to church (I feel there is no need) so I don't know what other Christians think about the subject. Does it depend on what religion you practice (Catholic, Methodist, ect.) or is the answer a general consensus among Christians in your opinion?

I also don't want any Athiests leaving responses saying God is a myth, Jesus is gay, or whatever other insults the majority of the ones on this site love to throw....but seeing how most of you can't help, do it if you want. It just proves me right.

The Bible undeniably states that, God is a human:

Habakkuk 3:3 (New International Version)

God came from Teman, the Holy One from Mount Paran.
Selah [a]
His glory covered the heavens
and his praise filled the earth.

- According to the Smith’s Bible Dictionary: Teman, a son of Eliphaz, son of Esau by Adah, (Gen. 36:11,15 and in the I Chronicles 1:36). Now if Habakkuk saw God come or coming from the son’s of Esau (Eliphaz), then God must be a man and not a spook.

- If Habakkuk’s prophesy refers to some country, town, or city; if there be any truth at all in this prophesy, then we can say that this prophet saw God as a material being belonging to the human family of earth, and not a spirit.

He wants to stop doing this action but can't seem to stop. Please if you don't have any real advice don't answer this question. And please don't load me down with bible verses for i have already given him some. He is Muslim and I'm not sure if he understood what I was trying to tell him. (Any Muslims answering please give me verses from your bible.)

Hello, I am a new born babe in Christ/ Jesus saved me from a life of sin about 6 months ago, glory to God! Thank you, thank you Jesus! When I was living for the Devil, I made some bad mistakes, one of which is going to haunt me for the rest of my life here on earth. You see, in my sinful years, I had a sex change operation. I used to be a man, but became a woman. The Devil keeps attacking me and telling me I am not worthy of the blood of Jesus because of what I did. He tells me it would be a sin for me to marry someone now. He gives me thoughts of suicide. What should I do? Should I marry a man or a woman? Will God change me back to a man when I get to heaven? Please, only true believers respond with biblical and loving advice. I am fighting this struggle everyday, and am afraid to tell my pastor my secret. But I think he is attracted to me, not knowing my condition and the unholy change I made. Is there hope for me? At least please pray for me. Thank you.

The whole book is practically killing everyone and conquering from chapter 5 on.

6:21 And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ***, with the edge of the sword.

Now began the wars of conquest which Joshua carried on for many years, the record of which is in the book which bears his name. Six nations and thirty-one kings were conquered by him (Josh. 11:18-23; 12:24).
8:1 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Fear not, neither be thou dismayed: take all the people of war with thee, and arise, go up to Ai: see, I have given into thy hand the king of Ai, and his people, and his city, and his land: 8:2 And thou shalt do to Ai and her king as thou didst unto Jericho and her king: only the spoil thereof, and the cattle thereof, shall ye take for a prey unto yourselves: lay thee an ambush for the city behind it.

How quickly god forgets he made a commandment saying"Thou shalt not kill"

If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges [determine] stripe. -Exodus 21

Here god refers to "men" causing a woman to lose her unborn child. The unborn child being referred to not as a child, or a human being, but as "her fruit", merely a seed.

God clearly tells us "man" is the tree (or in some instances the branch), if this passage were to indicate the unborn baby was indeed human it would have been referred to as such.

Example: PSA 1:3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither.

God only left to the judgement of humans the punishment for minor, or "venial" sins. The fact that god leaves the punishment here to the judges means this is not a grave crime, and surely means that no life has been taken and no commandment has been violated.

This young lady really needed some advice, and all the righteous Christians told her to pray about it. I find this to be very bad advice in her situation. Is this the ultimate downfall of faith? I have no doubt that these people felt like they were helping her, but in reality were giving her advice that would not help her at all. Is it that hard for fundies to see reality, and put someone else's future over their own agenda? I am ranting here, but this really irritates me.

If you look at the Muslim and Jewish relgions as well as many others, you'll find that their place of worship is also the center for the community and the center of their culture. Do you think the church should do this as well (Not in place of worship and fellowship, but in addition to) What do you all think? (No bashing please)

I've heard good Christian folk say this and I've heard it in a song by Depece Mode who seem pretty far removed from Christianity. If possible could you explain this?

So, today I was talking to my great uncle, and when I was walking to get some more prune juice for him, I slipped on a rogue banana peel. It shocked me so much that I started laughing hysterically. My great uncle Reginald was in awe. Then he ran to help me, and while eating a rice cake, he slipped on a encyclopedia, and chipped his tooth on his rice cake. He also went flying through the wall out into our front yard. I was still lying unconscious on the cold, hard, unwelcoming tile. Reginald came back in to find me unresponsive. He gave me mouth-to-mouth recessitation and cleaned all my toilets. When I woke up, all I could see was my naked uncle dancing to "Behind These Hazel Eyes", you know.. because hazel eyes run in my family, of course. He was rocking out so hard that he managed to shove his head through the wallboard. I rushed to his rescue but I was too busy laughing.. so I went and took a crap instead. Is this a sin?

Bible says the will of God is "I will have mercy, and not sacrifice", and receiving the promise comes after doing the will of God. Bible also says God "sent" his Son, but notably not till the fulfness of the time for the law part of the law/grace shew had expired, and not to condemn(law) the world.

So JC plays God in the flesh, etc; For the Bible also says God is "excepted"(exempt) from the shew purposed to shew who is the blessed and only Potentate in his (plural) times as Jesus (Son of man & Son of God, but of high God) and Christ (Son of God, but of higher God). For Jesus, who is high priest of divided God on high in plural and divided heavens, brought division and not peace; Whereas Christ brought peace and not division as Son of God in "heaven"("higher than the heavens").

Not to mention it's all "allegory" and "mystery" to solve; and every good mystery has lots of twists to it.

Why do you believe your church is THE true church? When the bible says that a church is made up of believers in christ? It's not a certain organization or certain building. As long as you are with fellow believers that worship Jesus, it's church. How can you say that yours in the true church? It's not about "the church", it's about Jesus.

what will that person be in heaven a man, or a woman? And, if they have a partner who is male and did not know that their wife used to be a man, would their union be considered a sin on the husband's behalf? Just curious what type of responces I'd get.
