why do you believe god exist?

I don't.

In hopes that maybe someone had come up with something novel, I read through some of the arguments in the link http://www.godsci.org/gs/godsci/evidence.htm the poster above provided, and I must say, they are the crappest of possible crap arguments.

Here's a paraphrased summary of the BS I saw there:

"god is rational because some scientists say so"
"you can't count to infinity therefor god exists"
"everything has a cause therefor god exists"

I quit reading at this point, as it's apparent whoever put that site together has done no real investigation into these things and prefers instead to provide countless long-ago-refuted garbage "proofs" to baffle believers with BS rather than even a single real proof.


Just one real proof folks! That's all we ask. Mountains of BS is not the same.

Hi. I wish I could answer your question with some big realistic, scientific answer like you want to hear. I would like to know why you would want to believe that there is NOT a God? I lived many, many years in my life with my friends and I always wondering 'if there was a God?'. Well, I grew up and realized that there is no doubt that there IS a God. There is no way that all of these things that happen in life is just coincedence. There is no way that all of this just 'happened'. NO WAY. You could not convice me otherwise, If there wasn't a God then we would just die, and that would be the end...... how disappointing. This life has nothing to offer hardly. When you look at the whole thing and how short it really is... I would hate to think that it was all there was. I am hoping that there is more!!! Almost all religions will disappoint you and tell you that if you do not live up to their standards, then you are damned. I do not believe that if there is a GOD and he created life like it is... that he would hold such a strict regulation. I know that there is guidelines, but God also did make this life like he did. I think if you are in doubt... all you need to do is pray. All you gotta do is go somewhere where NO ONE is and ask Him... if he's for real... he'll prove himself. He has to me . Just test Him and see. Ask Him to prove Himself if He is real.

It's a bit simple to me.. Though I know the Genesis story is a mire outline of the creation work God did to make this world for us, the idea of a creator God is the only way I can possible conceive of for nature. Life from lifelessness is beyond my minds ability to except. The prophesies in the OT about Jesus are too detailed to be a just chance. Because faith in God makes sense to me and spontaneous life from nothing doesn't I believe in God..

The earth is full of His glory. The heavens shout out the splendor of His name. His Word has proven true, the prophecies all fulfilled in their time and Jesus established the new convenant through His life, death and resurrection. His Holy Spirit dwells with and in man and guides men into an understanding of who He is and empowers men to live out a life in Him. The question is how can you not believe that God exists? He is Elohim, the alpha and omega, beginning and end, the rose of sharon, the bright and morning star. HE IS..... and that is enough.

I believe God exist because of the miracles I experience everyday and the wonderful things that surround me that could not possibly have been made by man. I know he exist because of many wonderful blessing I have received thus far...

u/we itself is the main proof tht god exisits, even nature is the main proof, people who don't wanna beleive tht there is no god they are jus running away from the truth such tht nothing stops them frm doing a bad deed! if god wouldn't have been there then why r u here what are you doing in this world and why dont we have the powers to create the nature... why do we die, why can't we c the soul of any person who is not i this world. why do we need food and water to live, we cud be living without food or water, why did some one kept us dependent on food and shealter , its none other than god who is testing us. why are poor people in this world why not only rich, why can't we b alive forever... this column will not be enough for me to explain u but i tried well hope u got it... jus imagine, why can't man create water, sand, an insect???? we cannot say tht all these things came from no where !!! some ppl even imagine/think of heaven and hell why is tht???? how do u know even hell or heaven also exisits its not jus tht you heard frm a guy/gurl next door!!!

i don't believe in God, however i can't rule out the possibility of existence of God.
look, when we didn't know the mysteries of the nature, we had developed the concept of God and dole out all the things between them as their departments. like in India, there are some 330 million Gods, like one for Rain, one for romance, one for fire.....and so on. as we and our sciences have grown up and we have known the reasons for nature mysteries, the role of God have been decreased, like in India, now a days very few people worship Rain god or Fire god.etc..........
however who knows all the things ???
