As a previously religious sceptic, I have concluded that the creation and the existence of life on our planet and the fine-tuning of the universe could not be attributed to chance. There had to be a creator. That said, the question would be, which “franchise” of religion directly serves the being (for arguments sake – God) who created it all?
I am beginning to realise the account of creation in the biblical sense, might also be more than chance. Science seems to confirm what is written 2000 years ago only now. How could people 2000 years ago have known this? I would say this is more than a lucky guess.

In that benighted era, there was a territory— Arabia—where darkness lay heaviest and thickest. Then came a man by the name of Mohammad (peace be upon him) Prophet of Allah.Telling his own people that:-
Their methods were barbaric. They revelled in adultery, gambling and drinking. Loot and plunder were their motto, murder and rapine their very habits.

One might inquire; how is it that his nation became his worst enemy?
Was there any dispute about gold and silver or other worldly possessions?
Was it due to any blood feud?
Did he ask for anything from them?

Please answer my questions O' people of understanding.

I don't want to offend anyone with this question, but I would really like to know your views on the following.

Both I and my wife believe in the Bible and the teachings of Jesus and the Apostles, however, we have come to the realization that if the only thing we knew about 'Christianity' was what we saw and heard 'Christians' say and do on TV and the radio, we would have nothing to do with that religion.

If you feel as I do, please tell me your experience. If you disagree, please tell me why. Let's see if you can do it in 100 words or less.

because astheists don't do that kind of thing, then why should it bother you if there is no afterlife or if atheists don't care about being burned in hell why should that bother you too.

Or that anyone is going to this Hell?Or that you know who is and who isn't going to Hell?

Again, the Bible is not evidence and so it can only be used as words that have about as much validation of proof in something unseen as the written words of the exsistence of Fairies. So what proof, that I can see and examine, do you have? And for that matter, what proof do you have of Heaven?Or God?Or that your views and beliefs are right?

Note: The answer "Just look around and see all of God's wonders" is not proof.Nor is any kind of wording to that effect.

Waiting......

I am an atheist, and believe that the afterlife is nothingness, just like before life began. This thought brings me peace. But when listening to believers, it seems that the same thought is terrifying to them. How come?
