They aren't killing for god or anything. They are killing because their government tells them to. Since god says though 'Shalt not kill', doesn't that mean they are going to hell? Or do they get out of jail free card by asking for forgiveness?

And please, NO personal "stories" ok? We all know that they are lies.
What I'm looking for is concrete evidence of divine intervention in the affairs of man.
For instance, why would "god" sit back and allow the death of innocent civilians in the middle east? Why not just "divinely" inspire the leaders to say sorry and shake hands and make up?
Wouldn't that be a MUCH better solution to what is going on there now?
Or is he just a sick, demented bastard who loves to watch children get blown apart by shells and rockets?
Hmmmm?

A cop friend of mine said that a woman went into the police station covered in blood. She said she'd been attacked. The desk cop called the doctor and paramedics. The doc said that Rigor mortis was "advanced" and that the woman had been dead for up to 3 hours. She had only been in the cop station for 30 minutes. Weird?

Muslim God is not against abortion. She says " bring into the world as many children as possible if you can look after them. Otherwise dont bring them into this world." What about the Christian God? What does she say?

if it doesent then why do you insist on codemning people? obviously it must give you some sort of warped felling of accomplishment. a sort of "those who dont think like me can BURN! MUAHAHAHAH!" kind of thing.

why do you inist on codemning good people to a place where they will be eternally tortured? is that what your religion honestly teches? that those who are different shall be in eternal pain?

and you WANT people to convert to your religion? is it me or is that perpetuating hatred and bigotry?

explain yourselves.

We know that there was a war in Heaven.
We know that some angels were democrats and did not wanted to bow before men.
The Question is how we even consider the idea that heaven is a such good place.
So at first heaven was not such a good and than GOD rebuild heaven and now for eternity there will be no war or anything bad? Than what does Heaven means if it was not created perfect. Don’t start with free will or that Lucifer was arrogant or what ever. I am asking how Heaven in its own definition of only and the only good could have something that was not perfect. Than who may guarantee that it will never happened again. Who can claim that god will never turn heaven into hell. If I am correct GOD build Heaven way before he create first angel, and I guess than heaven was such a good place but got improved trough the history?

I realize that this section is already a sub-catagory by itself, but wouldn't it be a tad more peaceful if there were other sub-catagories such as "Christian", "Pagan", "Atheist", "Islam", "Buddhist", etc?

That way there would be no more inter-faith bickering and arguing and people could actually get answers to their questions without being lectured from the other group, unless they were looking for a fight, Which in turn would make them look like an idiot anyway.

I'm sure if enough of us say something to the Y!A maintenance (or whom-ever), we could accomplish this.

Atheists don't believe in any kind of supernatural divine being. They view Satan as being every bit as mythological and nonexistent as God.

(This response assumes a Christian view of what's "Satanic"; those who call themselves Satanists often have a very different concept of Satan.)

Why is it ok to god bless the American war machine but if you god bless the Iraqi guerillas, that's taboo? Does Jesus approve of American tanks and bombers but not Iraqi IEDs? Does he have something against warriors if they aren't a state run fighting force?

I want to be baptized but I'm 19 years old and I don't know how. My parents, who have both been baptized, think I'm crazy. I don't know what religion I am or anything as we have not been church goers my whole life but since my Grandma has died I feel the need to be more in touch with God. Help me.

I was suckered into a religious cult (ICOC) for several years and left 3 years ago. It is a very damaging experience. All I wanted to do was do God's will and instead I ended up with a cult - now I can barely look at a Bible or pray. I don't even want to think about church! Why would God allow this to happen? It seems like he is pushing me away. How can I trust Him?

I need to get others' opinions on something that happened to me 4 years ago. I was laying down to take a nap and was drifting in and out of consciousness. After one bout of sleeping/waking I found myself paralyzed and unable to move (a condition I later learned was quite common, and is known as sleep paralysis). At the time I had no idea what was going on, and began to panic. I thought I was dying! Angry that I would die alone in my bed for no reason, I struggled with basically every ounce of strength I had and forced myself to sit up. I was moving by sight alone, because I could not feel my limbs, nor could I feel the floor beneath my feet as I staggered to my feet. Moving slowly, I made my way out into the living room and fumbled for the cordless phone to dial 911.

o.k. my Q is there anywhere in the bible that says u have to worship in a church? i thought that if 2 or more people were to get together & talked about God then that was concider to be congregating. in all the things i remember about the bible is that Jesus talked to all his followers outdoors, it did not have to be in a building. the reason i pondering over this is it seems that everywhere i turn there is yet another church being built,to replace it with the older one that looks just fine,if the congregation grows to big than add on.sure all things need repair.but it seems a lot of old churches sitting there just going to waste!!!
in all of the pictures that are depicted in the Bible,Jesus is outside under a tree with his people around him listening to him Speak the word of God.NOT PREACH!!!!!..NOT IN A BULIDING with stain glass windows ect....

Afraid of eternity?
I'm a Christian,
and I know I'm going to Heaven,
but im deathly afraid of,
um well,
death.
and etiernity,
like FOREVER.
it scares me to think that some people will go FOREVER in hell.
and well frankly just thinking of how long forever is scares the crap outta me.
Anybody know what to do about this fear of mine?
And does anybody else have the same kind of fear?

P.S. No stupid answers like "who cares" or anything like that, okay? I would really like you to answer my question.
