Last time I checked the GOOD SHEPHERD said:
"the sheep hear HIS voice........and they know HIM" John 14: 4 & 14
The name Jerry Falwell appears no where in the text.... or any where in scripture for that matter.

But my favorite verse,
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto Falwell's understanding, but in all thy ways acknowledge HIM and HE shall direct thy paths" Proverbs 3:5-6 [ I paraphrase]

Search the scripture and "study to show thyself approved" 2 Timothy 2:15
You can hear what a man has to say but it is your responsibility to search out the fruit of it.
a problem with most 'christians' -they just parrot what they have been taught...
Falwell is just a sinner, hopefully saved by grace... contrary to some persons line of thinking.... he is not Jesus' right hand man.

I only know that Jerry Falwell exists because he was a target/nemesis for Hustler Magazine and Larry Flynt.

As a Bible scholar and as an evangelist Jerry Falwell is in the top five in the world. As a public relations man he can sometimes stumble over his tongue. Jesus loves him, and he is responsible for untold thousands of men and women entering the ministry, including me. Jesus loves you.

None. While I'm sure that he's a godly guy, I don't go to his church, nor listen to his tapes, nor read is books.

Even my own pastor merely expounds the Scriptures, and then asks us to examine them and judge for ourselves if what he says is true.

Therefore, it is only after I have heard what someone says, and have evaluated it against the Scriptures, am I then influenced in any way.

Acts 17:11 is a good idea for all Christians.

None whatsoever.

Watched him a few times to study his delivery - not his theology.
