How come all the nonbelievers come to the religion section to ask questions? If they don't believe and it is a waste of time, why do they get so riled up and freak out on people for their faith. To me it just seems like a waste of time. If you aren't here to ask questions regarding faith, why bother? They seem to know it all on their own anyway. What can a measly little Christian like me help them with ?

And what if individuals take their own responsibility for their own actions and shape their own destinies?

The human race is pretty screwed up, just check out the news headlines on any day. Seems we’re a pretty violent, greedy, cruel, selfish, you name it species. It’s hard to find any logical reason why any God or Creator (if such exists) would even contemplate having humans in their flock.

There’s heaps of cut n’ paste artists on the Web, but are there any deep philosophical minds out there?

that you will benefit from it?

For instance, if you pray for me to God, you believe I will benefit, how about my desire to meditate for you, think it will help?

If not, why?

In these debates so many people say "why follow some book written 2000 years ago". I dont understand this as the basis for why something is automatically irrelevant. The fact that the bible was written 2000 years ago(though orally passed on since the beginning) and is still inspiring people today should actually be a sign that this is not some ordinary book. Even the constitution which we hold sacred has had to be altered and changed since it was written (here comes the people with the translation conspiracies). If somebody wrote 4+4 = 8 thousands of years ago, does it automatically make it powerless because of the passage of time.

I'd like some suggestions of symbols to carve a green candle with for a money drawing ritual. Also... I am only in supply of 3 oils for annointing at the moment. Which would be best: olive, lavender, cinnamon?
If you write your intentions and wishes on paper, is that only for banishing spells or would that work for drawing too? Writing intentions then burning them in the flame of the carved, annointed, green candle......
Lastly, what is the proper way to anoint a candle...?

After all, they are "fossil fuels" - the remains of fossilized organic material (you know, dinosaurs?) trapped by sediment and geologic phenomena. A process which took millions of years.

One of the biggest arguments against the literal interpretation of the bible is that it does not agree with science. That is baloney.

1) How could humanity come from just two people? Wouldnt incest be involved.?

Answer: Yes incest was involved with Adams children. And there was nothing wrong with it. THe only reason we dont do incest now is because there are too many flaws in our genes. Two people with the same genes create a genetic flaw in a child which leads to disease and retardation. If God made Adam and Eve perfect..with perfect genes, there children would have them. Two related individuals with flawless genes can have nothing but healthy children.

2) The bible says that people long time ago lived 100's of years? Thats dumb right?

Answer: Back to the genes. Science do not know why we get old, wrinkles, gray hair. Theyve spent billions trying to find out. If we had flawless genes, our body wouldnt deteriate at the rate it does now. Which explains Adam and Eves ages.

In my heaven, there would be no such thing as hell.

If I go to this "heaven" and there also happens to exist a hell, I couldn't cope being there knowing that those so deemed unworthy suffer a horrible fate in hell.

Mind control from our God perhaps? Then why go to heaven if I can't be me? Perhaps the concept of hell is wrong?

If you had to choose between proving someone wrong and in the process making their life miserable, and leaving that same person alone in their ignorance to be happy, which would you choose? I think that the greatest love you can show your fellow man/woman is allowing them to believe as they will, so long as it makes them happy, and more than that supporting the thing that makes them happy even if you don't agree with it. Thoughts?

I believe that death is the beginning of a greater form of life, but who really knows what goes on after you die except those who have? There are many different beliefs of heaven, hell, reincarnation, and other things after death, but who says that we'll be living in another form after we die? Maybe when we die, we just die. Our very existence might just be wipped off from the universe ceasing to ever exist. Just becoming nothing. Vanish forever. What do you think about death? Do you think it's the end of life?

Does the religion you follow have any Martyrs(people who have chosen to die for their strong religious faith)?

If so, who is your favourite Martyr, or which one inspired you the most?

My one has always been St. Agnes. A young girl of 12 years, who lived in Pagan Rome, who had willingly died, rather than give up her faith in Christ.

In other words, there would be no sin today if Eve did not eat of the forbidden fruit and give some to Adam. The snake (devil) would be killed by adam for food thereby keeping him out of the picture. The time traveler would tell Adam & Eve not to do this and that as they would condemn the whole world. Would they listen and obey? When the time traveler got back home, would everything be different as far as Christianity & the Bible is concerned with no need to confess sins as there wouldn't be any. In fact, sin wouldn't even exist! Would you agree?

Yes, this does belong in the Religion & Spirituality sections.

I've tried Rosaries and Virgin Mary things and a crucifix... all have failed miserably.

I am dealing with a VIOLENT ghost. I need a way to get rid of the ghost without burning candles, incense, or herbs. I also cannot simply up and move out of the house.

Help is NEEDED. I do not want to be attacked again.

I have Clairvoyance, Clairsentience, and Clairaudience. I can also channel ghosts, if that can help me... somehow. I don't know what to do, I'm kind of panicking.

I want to see the word for homosexual in the un-translated version of the original Bible so that I can compare it with the translated version.I seriously think someone put the word homosexual in there just to add to a list of things people can say, "You're going to hell for that".

So, if you know the original hebrew texts or whatever language it was, that has quotes from where people say, "see!it's write their next to adultry and fornification!" in an original format with exact translation please show me!
