I myself have no quams with dying
and I don't believe in a after life.
Do I do harm to others no? Absolutely not
A diety didn't have to tell me this.

Therefore, who Am I?
That is the troubling question
When I figure that out will I know my true destiny?

Who will determine this lack of purpose? A scientific group? Society? A government? If we leave it to individuals, then there will be those who believe in the lack of purpose and those that believe in a purpose. In both cases, we are dealing with belief systems. The first system exists in the absence of God and the second exists in the presence of God. Belief in a non-God is a religion. albeit an unorganized one. If believers in a non-God were to become ubiquitous in government and legislative bodies, society would be forced, with the help of the courts, to accept that the universe has no intrinsic meaning or purpose.

Oh Dear .....
I can't imagine that ..... Order In Chaos environment ?
Or was it Chaos in an Orderly Environment ?
If the Universe have no meaning, why the universe in the 1st place?
For every action is from a cause, and for a greater action there a greater cause.
Now, If the no meaning for this Universe, then what the cause ?
If the universe is the action for more cause, then there are more meaning action.
Since, there are no purpose in life, how do you shape your destinty ?
For every destiny in life, there must be a purpose as to why, who, when, where, and how of your life.
I think your question should be:
If there are no such thing as pre destined life, and people take their own responsibility for their action. How is this world be like?
Then, I can answer this :
Wonderful like Hell or was it heaven.
Wait, there no meaning to this all. Therefore, Hell or Heaven don't exist.
Since, this is the case, My action have no meaning at all. Therefore, I don't exist.
Therefore, who Am I ????
See, that is your answer to a no meaning, no purpose in this Universe way of life....

The universe obviously has a purpose and/or meaning - then it wouldn't be here. Individuals definitely take responsibility for their own actions too.....

If the universe had no intrinsic (internal) meaning, it wouldn't matter if people took responsibilty for their own actions or not because nothing would be perceived gained in doing so (no internal reward).
Spiritually, we do take responsibility for our actions when we die.......whether we like it or not. So, you may as well do this while alive and save the angst after death! :-)

"What if" questions stopped being interesting when I was 12.
I live in the real world not the "what if" world.
I don't have an answer.
What if trees were made of cheese?
It's just as important as your question.
Waste your time thinking it over.

I don't understand why people think about this stuff. We're all going to die before any of us come close to figuring out the mysteries of the universe.

universe has no meaning or purpose. those terms are invented by human brain. there are no destinies, just human action and it is bad or good also judged by human brain. we want to feel "special" because we are insecure, therefore we invent gods, God, faith... etc...etc
