The notion of the inherent "goodness" of man certainly does not pass the religious test, and it doesn't pass the scientific test, either. Original sin, as one of my college professors liked to say, is the only empirically demonstrable doctrine of the Christian faith. Look all around and you see evidence of the depths to which humans (religious or not) will fall and the evils which they will perpetrate upon one another, both in private relationships and on a more global scale, as well.

Those who fail to recognize the capacity for evil in themselves are deceived. Who has not broken a heart? Who has not disappointed a friend in need? Who has not turned a blind eye to suffering or want? We are all evil - that much is certain; it is the truest statement ever uttered in the history of humankind.

So if we are all evil, how can we "be good people and not do evil"? Clearly, it is not something we can do on our own. The religions of the world provide a means of transcending our shortcomings and coming into communion with a higher power from which all good derives. I frankly don't care which route to the divine you take; there are many religions, many available paths to God. But please, for your own sake, pull your head out of the sand and recognize that you AREN'T special, you're just like all the rest of us - you're a sinner who has lost his way who needs help getting on the right track.

In my own opinion I believe there are so many contradictions among the teachings of all existing religious groups particularly the catholics. I was born a catholic but I denounced my affiliation after I made some hard study and evaluation of the purpose of religion. Like I always maintained religion is the intimate partner of politics that kept this world in turmoil. Both of them are used to gain fame, wealth and power. All the miseries in this world are the products of these two evil things. All religious
and political leaders are rich and influencial, doesn't it tells you something? God is their main merchandize to proliferate and disguise their evil deeds. All there foolish teachings are deeply anchored on faith and all their follower are made to believe everything happening in this world are the work of God whether it is good or bad for you. To think that all the wrong doers are far very well off than those who live in their blind faith is something to fonder with. If you ask me If I believe in God? my answer would be categorically NO since I have so many unanswered questions
about the existence of GOD.

My dear friend as you have put it in the correct perspective religion is basically a man made concocted theory woven around fear and promise for a reward that most never get to enjoy in this world yet the majority remains under a delusion and act as commanded. Human being are a social animal and most of them possess one or the other trait of animals which coexist with them in this world. One of the most common trait is the herd mentality where every one follows the leader blind folded an act which is glorified by use of words like 'faith' & 'belief in unseen'. I used to think that this phenomenon is limited to the illitrate societies, however, thanks to the internet I learned that it is not even the people living in the most literate societies like in West are as much affected as a person living in Indian cast system. Since religion is a man made system of concocted values design for a few to rule over a vast majority, to use them like sheeps and goats, and humanbeing (no matter how smart they may be) are full of faults thus whenever they try to devise a system for others it is inevitably bound to be full of inaccuracies and flaws. These flaws lead people to indulge in inhuman acts in the name of religion. Do you still want to know its origin? Read any religion and you'll find that they all have same origion.

Certain races of aliens who genetically altered the humans of old, use religion to control and manipulate humans. Humans where designed to be slaves and because of the spirits that animates human bodies which wasn't intended, they have to find a way keep the spirits from knowing who they really are. It's part of the game, it's a challenge for the spirit to overcome obstacles such as religion on the way to discovering true self, it is the main reason why we play. Most human bodies today are animated by the planetary soul for which they are called minions, this what the alien races thought that they would be dealing with when tampering with the old humanoid model. Spirits who wanted to advance in the game took on the challenge of animating humans for the experience and a fast track for spiritual advancement, think of earth life as a training ground for spiritual advancement. Those who take the challenge of earth life becoming mortal with no memories of trueself are more spiritually advanced than the most technologically advanced alien beings in the game. Those who cling to technology are addicted to the game and not ready for the tough and scary life as a human.

God is a lover of mankind. They are the inth of His creation. The Creme'de la Creme. His rules are to benefit us in health safety and happiness. Examine them honestly.
As far as original sin goes any parent can testify that their children learned dishonesty, selfishness, laziness, and pride without help from another human. The evil is inherent and can't even be disciplined out of most. Only a deluded or ingenuous person would argue this. God wants us happy and fulfilled. We do not trust anyone but ourselves (the least trustworthy of all). Sad.

Religion comes from Latin RELIGARE or "to bind back", implying obligation; or from RELEGERE " to select ", distinguish among various elements for the choosing of the best; ponder.

Religion is the structure created around an ideology in order to implement laws and obligations. It was created by man with the purpose to control people...

and like ALWAYS, if the mind of the man works towards its own benefit the result is corruption and disorder.

I have always hated the idea of original sin. It troubles me deeply. But you must remember that religion is also about power and control. If I can convince you that you are an evil wretch, but I hold the key to your ultimate redemption...then I have power over you.

The only false idea of religion is when a person puts himself as God and God becomes one of his minions.

I thinkl you need to read the Bible.

Satan is the source of all lies, according to Jesus.
He is also the source of all murder.

Also, God knows man is evil; in fact it says in the Bible that all men are' born in sin". Sin and evil are in the nature of man from birth because he is separated from God.

Now you know why Jesus came....to break the power of evil in man's life and unite hime back to his heavenly Father.

It requires us to admit we are sinners, and to turn away from sin, AND to ask God's Holy Spirit to come into our life and restore us back to God.
