I believe that death is the beginning of a greater form of life, but who really knows what goes on after you die except those who have? There are many different beliefs of heaven, hell, reincarnation, and other things after death, but who says that we'll be living in another form after we die? Maybe when we die, we just die. Our very existence might just be wipped off from the universe ceasing to ever exist. Just becoming nothing. Vanish forever. What do you think about death? Do you think it's the end of life?

I don't think death is the end of life (just to clear things up), I'm just wondering what your opinions are.

I don't believe death is the end. I have family and friends that have passed on and in my religion we call them our akhu. Our akhu help us in life and lead us to where we should be. They warn us too.

1. "I believe that death is the beginning of a greater form of life"
That could be true, if you choose wisely. If not, this life is the best you'll get.
2. "but who really knows what goes on after you die except those who have?"
The One who has the the power of life and death in His hands. The One who defeated death.
3. "There are many different beliefs of heaven, hell, reincarnation, and other things after death"
But there is only one objective truth. You can sincerely believe that F-15s are made of Jell-O, but that doesn't make it true.
4. "but who says that we'll be living in another form after we die?"
See Answer 2.
5. "Maybe when we die, we just die. Our very existence might just be wipped off from the universe ceasing to ever exist. Just becoming nothing. Vanish forever."
Maybe. But maybe not. Maybe your soul DOES go on forever. If it does, do you think you might want to decide now where that will be? As far as I know, you won't get that chance after you die.

The Transition Called Death: Each of us must ultimately confront our mortality. For Hindus, this is not a fearsome prospect. We know we have been born and died before, and karma and reincarnation make the inevitable seem natural. One saint consoled, "Death is like falling asleep, and birth is like waking from that sleep." Simple. Other sages speak of death joyously as release from bondage, as return to our Source. The soul, the Vedas declare, is immortal. Still, we are attached and must cope, find understanding that will make death acceptable. Our Insight this month speaks traditionally of this personal, exalted and potent experience crowning life.

Yes death is the end of life...by definition. If your question really was is there an afterlife...nobody knows. Nobody. And anybody who tells you they "know" because its' in book written by some camel jockeys.(like the bible, the koran)..they are hopeful, wishful thinkers, deluded....but they don't KNOW.
It would be nice if there were an afterlife, personally I like the idea of the 70 virgins the islamic martyrs think they're going to get. (boy, are they in for a shock) but since as far as we know, this is all there is, make the best of it

Death is not the end it is just the beginning of something better, at least that is what the Bible teaches us and that is what God says. And even if death truly is the end of it all, what can we do about, we cannot add one minutes, one second, or an additional breath when it is all said and done. So live life, embrace it and don't worry, when you time comes, what can you do about it?

No Way. If you believe in God, death is only the beginning of the eternity in heaven. Jesus said that no one goes through heaven except through me. God sent his son to give you life. John 3:16

Death is the start of life, the eternal life.
Death just transports us from one world to another where we will see the result of our every doing.
There will not be any death at all, we will either be in a comfortable life or unbarable, bothersome life.
May Allah the Almighty bless us all and give us comfort in the life hereafter.

Death is the end of life on earth and the beginning of eternal life. You spend eternal life in heaven or hell depending on what you decided about Jesus here on earth.
Many wish that it was all over, but it isn't and there is judgment for what we have decided here on earth..

In truth there is no such thing as death. How can a body of physicality create a conciouness? How can this Conciousness die. Conciousness can ot die, it can only be. Body may die. But we live on for eternity. life is conciousness not a mechanical body.

well if we cease to exist, the last thing i would like to know is that my body will return to the earth, fuel it's beautiful land for a bit longer, then when the sun supernova's my energy is spread through out the cosmos and breathe's life into planets, billions of years from now
if its not.... i dont know... would be a little weird, but it gives you something to strive for, a better job, a better education, enjoying this world. all that jazz, but still people need to realize that they need to stop trying to convert others, if your an atheist, sweet live life to the max, if your theist, sweet live, love, peace.... just dont try to convert me because i told that atheist that just left no.
