What are some methods for getting rid of ghosts?

Yes, this does belong in the Religion & Spirituality sections.

I've tried Rosaries and Virgin Mary things and a crucifix... all have failed miserably.

I am dealing with a VIOLENT ghost. I need a way to get rid of the ghost without burning candles, incense, or herbs. I also cannot simply up and move out of the house.

Help is NEEDED. I do not want to be attacked again.

I have Clairvoyance, Clairsentience, and Clairaudience. I can also channel ghosts, if that can help me... somehow. I don't know what to do, I'm kind of panicking.

This was a serious question. My stepfather, my brother-in-law, my sister, my friend Koneko-chan (alias name, obviously), Bri-chan, Roy (stepfather's friend), and even a neighbor of ours has seen the ghost in our house...

I'm not Christian at all, for the record. I'm Pagan. It's just that crosses and stuff usually work for other people. =.= And my stepfather suggested it.

In young people with strong psychic abilities, especially girls, such activity often happens. Other worldly beings are attracted to such powers as they can utilize them for their own advantage, to make physical activity happen. This is the root of the cause, but not what makes it a bad experience. The fear induced by the activity that occurs gives negative entities more power, and the haunting will become worse and worse as the fear level in the home increases. Things like rosaries, crucifixes, and holy water will only work if the girl in question (you) believes in them. Being pagan, obviously they won't work. Such attacks often happen during teen years, as these are the most turbulent times for anyone. They will subside once your angst does, however in the mean time, you may want to contact a local Coven, or Pagan worship group who's High Priest or High Priestess can perform some spells or rituals to help rid the home of negative energy.

Ritually you can burn sage in every corner of the house drawing the star of God in smoke in every corner of the house & or rooms while praying to the One that Is to remove the presence.

If i am ever attacked, which I believe I have been, mostly when I am sleeping, as that is when I am vulnerable, I wake up and pray to the higher power to protect me and the spirit goes away. Sometimes this is accompanied by a physical tingling sensation on the back of the head. In such cases I massage the area, almost like I'm patting down wet sand to make the subtle energy more dense and protective as I believe a hole of types has been punched through.

Finally when in any dangerous situation imagine you are surrounded by a pure white light. This has an associative effect that puts up your psychic defense helping you to ward off attack.

I also suggest meditating in your house as this helps clean the energy. I would also think about getting rid of certain objects which might be an associative draw for the entity. Try redecorating a bit.

To revisit nothing is going to help you more than the higher power. If God is for you who can be against you. And no I am not a fundamentalist in any way shape or form. I am a spiritual independent who recognizes there is a higher power.
Unfortunately many religions have created negative associations via bone headed doctrines and interpretations. Just take the good and leave the rest when it comes to any religion.

In the end of ends, it is the Divine that will protect you. Have faith and I'm sure it will all work out.

One of the things you first need to do is understand WHAT or WHO this ghost is:

1) Was it always in the house?
2) If it was, did it suddenly get riled up for some reason and is now manifesting itself?
3) Or did someone bring it in? (yes, that happens too, people can bring a spirit home with them)
4) If this violent spirit is a poltergeist, are there any pre-teen or teenage females around? Poltergeists are drawn to them.

Another thing you need to do, especially if the ghost/spirit came with the house, is to find out the HISTORY of the house and of the spirit if you can. You cannot just rid a home or place of a spirit. You need to understand it as much as possible. In understanding, you'll be surprised how putting it to rest will dawn upon you.

The Rosaries and stuff won't work if you are Pagan. You know why. It's not our belief system. We may respect it, but we cannot invoke the workings of something we do not truly believe in as such.

With this information I suggest you do try to have the house blessed and cleansed. Try a Christian figure, try a Pagan High Priest/Priestess. They will usually know what to do.

Also...sometimes youjust can get rid of them. We like to think we have control and you need to understand that many times we do not. It is possible that this spirit may never leave. Then you will have to make some choices. Sorry the news couldn't be much better and that I didn't offer any pratical and garlic and holy water remedies.

I wish I could help, but I'm very ignorant about these types of things. I am curious why you cannot use incense? In Japan, they put some sort of beans or something in the corner of the room, and somehow this is supposed to work.

It occurred to me that perhaps the reason that the rosaries, virgin Mary and crucifix are not working for you is that you are not a Christian, so perhaps your ghost realizes this and is not scared or something. Perhaps you should try some techniques from your own religious beliefs? Just a thought.

you're scared and favor to calm down. Then set up no matter if it truly is actual a ghost or some thing else. I know a smudge stick can clear an area of unwanted energies.
You may of bought this ghost in this world while channeling, now hes stuck. Did you protect your self while channeling. I visualise a white bubble all around my house and yard each night to keep out unwanted intrudes, this is culmulative, the more you do it the stronger it works. Some time a loud abrupt scream can clear away unwanted energies too. But always aprouch it with love and not fear, this very important.

If you are serious and can demonstrate this ghost you should be able to make a lot of money from it. I have read, here in answers that there is a $1000,000 unclaimed prize for any one who can demonstate any paranormal phenomena. Ask another question here to find out where to claim it. Or contact some appropriate TV program or newspaper and get a fat fee for demonstaing the ghost.. then you can afford to move. Wish I had a ghost!

First of all, you must get rid of all the stuff you have in your house of books,pictures of saints, etc. The only thing you may have is a Bible and Christians books. What you have in your house are not ghosts, those are demons. Remember that Satan was cast out of the Heavens with all his followers. They call him in the Bible:The prince of the world, and he is the one that causes all the bad stuff on Earth, him and his followers the demons. You, by doing all that stuff in your house had open the door to them, that is why everybody has seen the so call ghost.
What really will work is getting rid of everything I told you, then, you must pray with all your love and faith to God, in the name of Jesus(this is very important) to take this demon out of your house and that you're not going to continue doing all that stuff(channeling ghosts,etc.). Repeat the prayings (with faith) every time you see this thing and ask him to leave in the name of God. They are really scare of God, and they hate hearing His name.
Believe me if you do this you don't have to worry anymore, tell your family to pray together, God will love that all of you have finally open your eyes to the truth.
