I actually heard this the other day… A woman in the grocery line behind me (dang 20 items or less) was talking to her friend about the fact that George W. Bush should be canonized since he has been the savior of Christianity. That got me to thinking (always a bad sign) what would his name be? I mean we already have a St. George. Saint Bush? Saint W? And also what would he be the patron Saint of? Senators who are about to be indicted? And what about Ronald Reagan? Not Saintly enough only good enough to fight for a spot on our currency?
Anyone?

According to Christian doctrine, a perfect being (Jesus) had to die to pay the price for the sins of humanity. However, three days later he rose from the dead. If I buy a TV from a store, and then three days later get my money back, I don't get to keep the TV. So since Jesus isn't still dead, our sins are not really paid for.

The Beast is mentiond in the book of Revelation. it has 7 heads and 10 horns, with 10 crowns on its heads. it says that people will worship this beast in the book. But many people fail to realize that the beast is a kingdom, not a person. It will be like a country that will govern the world. Why do people misunderstand this?

In recent years Muslim women have elected themselves to wear the HIJAB (veil). However these women are said to have been 'forced', in the majority of cases this is not true.
Recently there was a march in France campaigning for the right to wear hijab. Even in the arab countries such as Egypyt and Syria, more women are choosing (unforced) to wear the HIJAB.
Islam does not cage women but rather LIBERATES them. I leave you with the quote of a HIJAB clad girl;
"I wear this veil to be beautiful in the eyes of Allah (God) and not yours."

Interesting facts about the Decalogue:

* The Hebrew phrase for "Ten Commandments" does not appear anywhere in the Hebrew scriptures.
* The Greek phrase for "Ten Commandments" does not appear anywhere in the Greek scriptures.
* None of the commandments in Exodus 20 or Deuteronomy 4 is ever referred to as a numbered commandment (i.e. "the First Commandment" or "the Fourth Commandment") anywhere in the Christian Scriptures.
* None of the commandments referred to by Scripture as a numbered commandment (i.e. "the First Commandment", "the Second") comes from Exodus 20 or Deuteronomy 4.
* The word erroneously translated "Commandments" in many modern versions of Exodus 24:38, Deut 4:13, and Deut 10:4 is actually the same Hebrew word as is translated "Chronicles" in the titles of I and II Chronicles. It could also be translated as "discourses" or "accounts".

I believe that it is possible.U just have to understand what is to "be". We are not born as human beings beingness is something which u create for urself. From doingness to beingness.Humanity has to engage in this quest if we want a future for ourselves as its doomsday going on right now.Only hope is in beingness.Beingness is nothing but understanding and feeling that we are all one.We are beings of pure unconditional love. One with the entire cosmos. That shall take care of all the wars out there adn the mess of pollution ,poverty disesae all of it.I want all of those who read this to just think about what i have said.I speak from my experince it is possible.

Okay… Could it be that the theory of Intelligent Design (despite the fact that it is a tool to teach a form of creationism in school) is actually an evolution of the Bible? I mean as we became more sophisticated creatures didn’t the Bible have to grow and change with us? It seems like as this newer model person we have become we didn’t accept, “Because God said” quite as well…Any thoughts?

I know that Islam says that there are not to be any sects of the religion. However, there are many people who do follow either Sunni or Shia sects. Does it really matter then if I choose not to follow that and just follow what the Quran and the Sunnah says? Any opinions?

If Heaven is a place where human spirits can exist without pain or suffering, then all life on Earth is needless, cruel torture. A truly loving and compassionate God would immediately bring all human souls to heaven.

The poor country pastor was livid when he confronted his wife with the receipt for a $250 dress she had bought. "How could you do this!" he exclaimed.

"I don't know," she wailed, "I was standing in the store looking at the dress. Then I found myself trying it on. It was like the Devil was whispering to me, 'Gee, you look great in that dress. You should buy it.'"

"Well," the pastor persisted, "You know how to deal with him! Just tell him, "Get behind me, Satan!"

"I did," replied his wife, "but then he said "It looks great from back here, too." Bwaaaahahahahaha!!!!

Do people actually believe that one day god made a donkey talk just to tell off Balaam and make him believe in god? Why don't these sorts of things happen in modern times?
