Excellent question. Your points are well taken. If one takes the myth of god seriously for a moment, then one can only conclude that god is a sick, sadistic tormentor who finds great delight in seeing his creation suffer.

Yes I agree with other people and like to put my answer in a different manner but its same as others .God thought to make Hell and Heaven and between Them Earth where there is Good and Evil Temptations and Moksha and then he created humans with spirits each tested by time and surroundings the person who wins the battle of life gets to go to Heaven if not then to Hell.

Not the case. The earth is for our enjoyment to be lived on forever as a paradise. God has already chosen who wil go to heaven. The earth was created for a purpose. God does not try us with trials and it is impossible for him to lie. What would we all do in heaven? What some people want to be heaven but wish to be some where else? What if some don't want to exist at all?

this is not a hard question. god created earth to put us on it. he couldve made us like robots and made us to love him, but he didn't. he loves us so much and all he wants in return is for us to choose to love him as much. we loved him because he first loved us. we are here on this horrible planet for a number of reasons. once you have lived a lifetime, you start to understand that life isn't about us at all. its about heartbreak, happiness, trials, and blessings, suffering, so that you can relate to others that are suffering. if you notice, everytime something bad happens like a hurricane or 911, you see humanity put aside their differences and hold out a hand to those in need. i use to ask Lord, why do you let all this bad stuff happen and he would answer me in return and tell me to look and see. out of bad comes good. you can't have the mountain without the valleys and if you have no valley's , you would not know when you were on the mountain. same as heaven, while we are here, we struggle through but there will come a day when we will know heaven and we can rest. there we will be able to appreciate all that He has given us because we lived in the valley for so long. Hope that you can understand what i am saying, i tend to speak in poems or stories.

Interesting question...if god knows all then he should be able to immediately detect the good souls from the bad without needing earth...in fact, he wouldn't even need human beings...was he bored? Did he just think playing with humans would be fun? Otherwise, cut out the middle man (Earth and people) and grab the good souls directly...better yet DON'T CREATE ANY EVIL SOULS...I love the religious response to questions like this...

This is not necessarily something we might know the final answer ot but some ideas are
In Isaiah, God said the earth is made for His glory
God is glorified showing both power, justice and perhaps mostly showing mercy. Angels only learn of mercy by watching how God deals with us.
There are sides of God's mercy perhaps not seen in a perfect world, perhaps allowing a sin broken workd needing redemption l puts massive spotlights on parts of God that would not be seen by angels
In heaven angels walk by sight, on the earth frail people made form dust 'see' God by faith and glorify God in a way different
Someday the frail children of dust will bcome higher than the angels and become the Bride of Christ as God glorifies himself most strongly in showing mercy

The place for the chosen few children of God in the future is the earth, not heaven. Men don't go to heaven when they die - that notion came from mythology (men). The kingdom will be on earth, and the earth will be here forever. Those who seek the kingdom will find it.

the reason God created earth is b/c he wanted to make people in his image so that we may have a choice whether or not to worship him. see, in the bible it says that god loves us more than his angels in heaven b/c first we were made in his image and second he gave us a choice, but the angels in heaven have no choice they HAVE to do it. thats why God made a earth, for humans to dwell on it and for us to have our own free will.
