Don't most gods promote love and peace? Why fight over God then? If we get rid of Islam there might not be a problem.

Maybe I'm mixing this up with the Amish people, but someone I know works in a big hotel and she said that a group of Jewish people kept asking her all day to go push the elevator button for them because they could not use anything electrical. Please clarify why that is.

Without god. How does it work really when you can date the human evolution of thoughts through societies development to the point at which the bible was written and the obvious social pressures surounding its creation.

A christian.....Cause no one can convert anyone by force or pressure.
Its Jesus who calls you to be his follower same way as he called his 12 disciples..And its the holy spirit who guides every christian .
So all non believers stop putting questions against christianity or try to brain wash christians cause they have the faith of Abraham, Strength of Samson, And forgiveness and love of Jesus.

Vegetation Created on the third day and Sun on the fourth day
According to the Bible, Book of Genesis, chapter 1, verses 11-13, vegetation was created on the third day along with seed-bearing
grasses, plants and trees; and further on as per verses 14-19, the sun was created on the fourth day. How is it scientifically possible
for the vegetation to have appeared without the presence of the sun, as has been stated in the Bible?

Please come to the TRUE WORD OF GOD Qur'an.
Remember

*give up your livelihood, family and possessions to walk hundreds of miles following a Man and learning His teachings;
*be willing to teach others what you have learned;
*be willing to be constantly insulted; have rocks thrown at you until you are thought to be dead; be beaten with rods; you will be frequently imprisoned; and whipped so badly the flesh is torn from your bones;
*at the end of your employment contract, you must be willing to die for your Teacher. You will either be crucified, beheaded or banished to a desolate island (only 1 position available for this last contract).

NOTICE: Only those who DO NOT believe this Teacher is the Savior promised by God may apply. You must be willing to endure unbelievable mental / physical hardship and an ignominous death for a purely senseless cause.

Bible says in Genesis, Ch. 1, Verses No.16, that…'God created two lights the greater light, the Sun to rule the day, and
the lesser light the Moon, to rule the night'. The actual translation, if you go to the Hebrew text, it is 'lamps'…'Lamps
having lights of its own.' And that you will come to know better, if you read both the Verses - Genesis, Ch. No.1, Verse. 16,
as well as 17. Verse No.17 says…'And Almighty God placed them in the firmament, to give light to the earth…
To give light to the earth.' Indicating, that Sun and the Moon has its own light - which is in contradiction with established
scientific knowledge that we have.
Science tells us today that the moon does not have its own light.
This confirms the Qur'anic concept that the light of the moon is a reflected light. Its mentioned in Qur'an 1400 years ago.

Please come to the TRUE WORD OF GOD Qur'an.
Remember
There is no god but Allah, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is the last messenger of Allah.

Is Sin just as unlawful act? Or just a concept to control mind of masses by some people who thinks they are above the sinful act ? or a Crime? More or less legal laws of any countries match unlawful act to sins in religious texts. Does the term 'Sin' is created by some wise Man to educate people around about better civilization. So we felt guilty only when somebody tell us that, hey that's a sin! Whets is Origin of term sin? Who decided it?
Killing a tiger is illegal. Killing a tiger is Sin.
Killing a rat is justf ine with any Law on this surface, but Killing rat is still a Sin.

I have a problem with believing that there is such a thing as God - A supreme thingy who has created all and every. It just seems too easy an answer to all of humanity's questions. - The lazy minds way of brushing off the scientific facts of creation (ie. a more plausable and possible notion of lengthy evolution). But in saying this I believe that there was such a guy called Jesus. This wonderous fellow wanted to show people how to be GOOD/HELPFUL to each other and the world we live in. - If it wasn't for Jesus who would the GOOD people of the world really have to look up to as a role model? This KIND Jesus fellow could see a way in showing us how to "survive" beyond the simple survival methods to live. But, the idea that there was/is this God floating around in 'space'/our hearts/ where-ever this dude-thing-phenomenon is supposed to hover... well I just can't really believe there is any possible truth to the idea. But I dont blame people wanting to believe - better than taking drugs!

Fundamentalists believe that Genisis is a true record of what happened at the beginning but I'm looking to see what those who believe in the Bible but regard it as being open to interpretation think.

Does the story really mean that we are born innocent but become sinful as our brains develop and learn more or can the search for knowledge lead us into sin?

BTW: I'm a non-believer.
