You could reverse that question and say how does anyone not. The reason is that everyones different and has there own beliefs and needs for them - it's called faith it whatever you believe.

Well, it's not a proven fallacy.
Look, I've had LOTS of these discussions and I, like yourself, am often utterly bewildered at the apparent non-sensical tosh that religious people come out with. Their apparent complete lack of capacity for rational thought goes against my belief of a certain degree of genetic consistency between human beings i.e. everyone NATURALLY thinks rationally, at least a little bit.
However, my latest theory to restore my sanity and my faith in the human race is that religious people in fact take a 'leap of faith' and instead of trying to figure things out, they just decide to go with what the bible says instead and have faith that it will work for them. So they effectively decide to believe and then from that point on if they reinforce it enough I suppose they develop the sense they just BELIEVE these things and maybe even to the point that they feel they KNOW these things.
It just seems to be pretty rare that you hear a religous person say that they took a leap of faith, when in fact I think they all must have done. Or I hope they did! I suppose maybe if you were conditioned enough as you were growing up that might have the same effect too.

Simply by trusting. I've never heard of a 'proven fallacy'. Quite the opposite - I've seen changed lives.

I would be interested to hear how it is "a proven fallacy".The fact is no such evidence exists. On balance it is far more likely that God does in fact exist.Bearing in mind that if he does, you are likely to be cast into Hell.Get smart and start believing.

This is a difficult one. Some believe. I think it´s in your genes. I was a born again Christian and then it dawned on me I actually could not believe what I was asking others to believe. I hope this makes sense. I am happily married got great kids, but I´m sorry I do not believe in God any more. There´s too much pain caused in the name of a superior being. I believe in honesty in everything including your morals.
Have a great life. I am.

One day, while my baby son was playing in his indoor swing, I suddenly stopped what I was doing and walked across the room. I put out my hand and caught the swing as it fell. The hook holding it snapped in half as I put out my hand. My son would have been killed, as the chains were heavy. If you can explain that to me other than divine intervention, I'll change my mind and say there's no God. It's easy to believe because you can't see how God could exist. But what if you have seen?
Various people have tried to come up with answer - premonition, for example. Where does premonition come from? My son hadn't been hurt, so there was no esp. You tell me.

I personally don't really. If there was a God,wouldn't s/he be sick of all of his/her creations worshipping him/her for eternity. Imagine having a CD that you initially like, being stuck on repeat for eternity. You'd throw it out of the window soon enough, no matter how good the song is! If there really was a God, why hasn't s/he put a stop to all of the worshipping and pleading in the world. Also, how can s/he let people suffer in the world if s/he is Omnipotent???

God revealed His love to me one day and I haven't felt anything like it before or since, it was a real 'scales from the eyes' moment. Never went to church, wasn't raised a Christian, and yet He grabbed me all the same, and healed me of depression without anyone praying for it or laying hands on me. After I met with God I started going to church and finding many people had the same experience as me, I studied Christianity and other faiths, and I'm still a Christian, and God uses me to heal sometimes, so I don't consider myself to have a 'blind' faith.

I suppose around 80% of people do. Its normal to do so - and as we all know anything abnormal is very tough to adopt. So most of us go Ok so God made us thanks and goodbye. Some of us still look for answers - I am pretty sure someday somone will find out what happened and I bet ya £100 it was no pseudo God that put us here!
