The beneficent Creator, after the six days of Creation, rested on the seventh day and instituted the Sabbath for all people as a memorial of Creation. The fourth commandment of God's unchangeable law requires the observance of this seventh-day Sabbath as the day of rest, worship, and ministry in harmony with the teaching and practice of Jesus, the Lord of the Sabbath. The Sabbath is a day of delightful communion with God and one another. It is a symbol of our redemption in Christ, a sign of our sanctification, a token of our allegiance, and a foretaste of our eternal future in God's kingdom. The Sabbath is God's perpetual sign of His eternal covenant between Him and His people. Joyful observance of this holy time from evening to evening, sunset to sunset, is a celebration of God's creative and redemptive acts. (Gen. 2:1-3; Ex. 20:8-11; Luke 4:16; Isa. 56:5, 6; 58:13, 14; Matt. 12:1-12; Ex. 31:13-17; Eze. 20:12, 20; Deut. 5:12-15; Heb. 4:1-11; Lev. 23:32; Mark 1:32.)

According to David Barrett and team, there are 19 major world religious groupings in the world which are subdivided into a total of about 10,000 distinct religions. Of the latter, there were 270 religions and para-religions which had over a half million adherents in the year 2000 CE. Within Christianity, they have identified 34,000 separate groups (denominations, sects, individual unaffiliated churches, para-church groups, etc) in the world. "Over half of them are independent churches that are not interested in linking with the big denominations."

With time many things changes, and one is religion. Religion had it purpose 2000 years ago, so did horses, but now we have advanced and don't need imaginary friend to tell us right from worng. Atheist are going to take over the world. Are you afraid?

I note that in this section, Christians (not all) like to talk about Communism and other varying political views, but Communism is really villified. Do you not understand that Communism in it's purest form is direct Democracy? I don't get it guys. Have any of the people that are knocking it read the Manifesto? (no I am neither Communist or Socialist, but I fear religious fascism more than I fear either of those)

My German Shepherd, Ares, is always with me and hates to be left at home when I go out. No matter what I am doing around the house, you will find him by my side and I am the only one in the house that he will actually 'listen' to. I know I may sound crazy to some people, but there is an intelligence in his eyes when he looks at me, like he understands my words. Stereotypically, witches familiars are cats. Is it unusual for a 'witch' to have a different animal as her/his familiar?

I'm interested in doing a bit of research on the Pagan religion. What beliefs do you follow? I'm also interested in Tarot. Well, I honestly have a lot of questions, any information given would be nice. Also, if anyone can IM me or email me, that'd be great. My contact info is on my profile page.
Thanks!

Man has an immortal soul or spirit; and those who find favor with God shall join him in eternal bliss in heaven. Conversely, the souls of the wicked ones will be eternally tortured in hell.

Here are proofs that these teachings are really from Satan:

Not too long ago, a 6 year old girl committed suicide by rushing to an on coming train so she could be in heaven with her terminally ill mother

Muslim fanatics commit terrorism by becoming human bombs in the belief that 72 virgins are waiting for them in heaven, if they die as martyrs of Allah.

All accounts of resurrection in the Bible, except for that of Jesus, occurred here on earth and not in heaven.

The Bible says that God is love and merciful. It also says that Adam returned to dust ( not somewhere else). It says that the dead knows nothing at all. ( Ecclesiastes 9:5; Isaiah 38:18 ) The teaching therefore of an eternal torment is Satan’s way of picturing God as unloving and cruel.

The Bible has been translated over 50 times over history and the first Bible or written stories of Jesus wasn't until 50 years after Jesus's so called death. Who's version will we be reading 50 years from now?

Christians what do you think? Are you sure you will go to heaven?
You don't know the future. Maybe you will die as a Wiccan or Satanist.
I know many ex-Christians.

Head out to sea and jump out of a speeding boat. Now after a few hours of treading water, you will become tired. When it becomes clear that you will drown soon, start talking about your "right" to live.
You do keep harping about the "rights" of the unborn right? Where have your "rights" gone when your splashing on the ocean about to drown?
The fact is, there is NO "right" to life. None. We all have the same chances. Sometimes you roll the dice and get boxcars, sometimes you get snake-eyes.
But to get upset about it and spew nonsense about someone's "right" to life just serves to illustrate how very, very stupid you all are...

There seems to be much debate on here where faith in a Diety originates from. Where would you say your faith originates from?
Your upbringing, (meaning parental influence), or have you taken your own spiritual journey to discover your faith. Please explain your answer.

This question is directed to any and all religions who believe in a God(s)/Goddess(es). But please, keep your responses respectful towards others.

Thanks a bunch in advance for your thoughts!
